Understand that there was a tweet made about people crashing at the end of matches, was just wondering if someone found a setting to tweak that makes crashing less prevalent as of rn, im crashing every end of match, sometimes the beginning and really bad stuttering in lobby.
Ill drop my specs, then my settings, and am going to go through and try and kneecap the settings one by one to see if something changes (if i find something ill update), but wanted to know if someone had already figured it out.
I recommend lowering the worker threads to 2 to start, and if that doesn’t work try 1.
I had luck with this, my crashes went from 12 a match to just 3 a match. Also make sure you’re fps is capped using an outside software like your gpu drivers, the ingame limiter is not very good, and unlimited could be causing crashes.
Ray tracing has also been speculated to crash, but it’s either ray tracing, or DLSS. Since ray tracing almost requires it, it’s hard to tell.
Some also said borderless windowed worked for them but I don’t think that was the case for me.
I should note the game runs like a** with just one thread. But it’s better than crashing every 6 steps.
ok before the server down time I cut my crashes down by about half. (we shall see if this improves or degrades on launch but as of right now this is my stance)
So First and biggest difference I was missing the newest driver update. this fixed a lot of my outright crashing after every single match, but still occurred during once every other match, as well as prob a third of the time upon launching.
The stuttering also still is bad on the areas with the ship and in the hub, esp. on loading in. (included clipping, asset disappearing, textures not loading etc.
I attempted to lower my threads. the stuttering got worse but I held out to see if the crashing would help. it did not. fullscreen and borderless window also was a no go.
capping the frame rate did help the stuttering in the hubs. but no help on the crash.
i was not able to tell a difference in DLSS or raytracing. as far as crashing goes, overall performance also seemed the same.
tried lowering resolution, as well as all graphics presets from “high” to “med/low” this did not change performance or crashing from what I can tell.
Also, what I find most interesting is that every error I get, when it crashes is a different one, even if crashing under the same circumstances. this makes it difficult for me to even tell what the problem truly is, and how to address it
I have a default OC on my CPU so I killed that to see if that would help as well, and that was a no go. the only thing that I could figure that could be effecting a consistent crash under multiple similar circumstances with all different error identifiers
Will update after launch to see if some things change/ if having the same issues.
