Honestly baffled at this update and the fact that Aqshy has logged off for night shows that even they knew it would go down like a sack of cold d*gsh!t at the Christmas table.
I was actually enjoying playing Ogryn today with my group but this has soured it significantly. Also the game now has a new bug that gets you permanently stuck in a queue of one when trying to join the game. BRAVO FATSHARK.
The implication being that they care about out opinions, which they don’t. They’re the experts though that’s why they broke core mechanics of their game on day one. Also no time for civility when they are being this awful. Double down make it known the direction the game is going is doomed.
We don’t simply “desire more weapons”, you promised more weapons, and even showed two of them in promotional footage. We “desire” the weapons you promised us. This feels like you are trying to gaslight us, Fatshark, and it’s not a good look.
I hope this is just poor wording on your account rather than actually trying to sell adding more weapons as “responding to feedback” when it’s actually just delivering what you promised.
The negativity reflects just how dire things are. We don’t want this game to become a ghost town. At the current rate, it will be. Negativity is warranted.
This post is disappointing and sad to read and very much ignores what your community is wanting. We are asking for things that would make the game more fun and enjoyable, so we can play how we want to without being RNG or Time locked. It is very sad to see you ignore or not even address many of the things we are asking for alongside the very heavy lack of content without you “siloing” us into very few options.
I think im gonna see yall in vermintide 2 where i feel like im actually having progression and fun.
Gamer or not, human beings in general are more likely to respond favorably to answers that actually answer their questions.
This:
Since launch, we’ve seen feedback from many players requesting shared progression across characters to ensure a smoother progression loop. Our designers are taking this feedback seriously and are discussing how to best implement a solution that meets our players’ desires and gameplay goals while also striking a balance with the game’s design intent. This is a sizable endeavor, and its feasibility is still unknown, we hope to be able to share more information on its progress at a later time.
Is not an appropriate answer to one of the biggest issues with players at the moment: sharing money, gear, resources, etc.
Exactly 10000% this, please reconsider going this route with the crafting, Vermintide 2 didnt lock out players from re-rolling one of the perks on the weapons, why is it being limited here? Not a single player wants this
I recommend everyone re-read the crafting blog and all the fluffy pretty words they used to try and describe how it works, and then have a good laugh by seeing how it’s actually being implemented at this glacial pace, WEEKS AFTER the game game out.
We have learned a lot from our previous choices and gameplay surrounding crafting offered within the Vermintide series. For Darktide we wanted to take those lessons to expand and improve in such a way that crafting would become a central pillar of player progression, while giving more impact and agency to you, the player in your preferred playstyle.
The nature of randomization and repetitive actions sometimes seen within crafting is something that we are steering to avoid in the crafting system within Darktide. Meaningful choices will be made with strategy and goals behind them, as you set your eyes upon that perfect combination of melee and ranged weapons for your class.
Where is the console version or at least some information on a release date?? We have been patient and many of us pre-ordered the day we saw Darktide appear on the store. I personally have the game pass and I still pre-ordered because I want to support FatShark however I can. Darktide is no longer on the store at all and I feel like we have been left to dry. No beta access, no information since before the PC release.
The only reason you’re adding emotes is to sell them for real money in the store. Guess they took one out of the Destiny 2 book. I have yet to see a single thread on reddit asking for emotes of all things.
This entire company and management is just the worst.
Nice… but… Before working for a cash whale fishing shop to sell cosmetics for 20bucks could you just add in game an for free to all players that have spent 40 bucks on your game all the cosmetic stuff we seen on the character in EVERY trailer since the first anoucement?
Without any cost just by playing the game.
I think it hard to remember how they was looking… oh wait we see them every game launch in the connecting screen’s artwork !
I don’t know if this is getting me shadowbanned or what, but I’ll keep saying. The problem (or at least a big part of it) is Tencent. Tencent Tencent Tencent.
A lot of it was always there, certainly. The predatory Gacha tactics are infinitely worse in Darktide.
In Vermintide 2 we got at least some chest (3 guaranteed items) for every mission we did. Crafting mats were plentiful and given enough patience you could roll the properties you wanted. Sometimes it’s hard to believe we even had all of that. I can’t believe I miss that.
Yeah, it did get worse, and i suspect a lot of people was hoping they would have learned from past mistakes and created an improvement from VT2 with Darktide, but here we are unfortunately.
Yes, but it’s live service. You can’t expect a game to be serviced for 5+ years with a one time payment. There’s no incentive to do so. All live service games have a continuous revenue stream. It’s just common sense.
Perfect. So cosmetics should fund all content development, right? They definitely won’t charge for anything else, not even the upcoming classes they plan on releasing every 3 months, right?
Adding a way to earn the premium currency does not guarantee they will never have a purchase. Plenty of other games have done it.
