Is there a mod that allows solo players to play Private mode?

I might actually play the game again if such a mod existed.

2H Force Sword please.

No, unfortunately not. Playing “solo” would currently requiring being able to queue into a dedicated server slot on your own, which Fatshark hasn’t supported yet. Their long-term plans (going way back to earlier communications) is to have a true solo mode effectively be hosting your own game locally. They haven’t implemented that yet and I doubt any mod would be able to work around that.

I will give this a try today, I’m keen to see how many frags I’m getting after my games and all the stats for the run :racehorse::man_running:t2:

Hi-int damnation should just be tweaked slightly and called difficulty 6. Then it could be modified by modifiers thus acheiving tue peak endgame content.

I LOVE HI-INT

So to summarize ;

  1. New mission conditions will be added.
  2. 2 existing but modified weapons will be added
  3. You’ll have an option to opt out a feature Fatshark just added
  4. Fatshark needs HUD feedback when there are mods that already improve the HUD (congrats, your job has been done for you)
  5. Can Opener Blessing will go back to it’s s**t state no matter the “improvements”

How lackluster.

It’s 2 variants of current weapon. It’s a 1h Force sword

I’m just at the menu and I’m already can see the improvment to the game, bravo sir! Thanks for compiling it and explaining it well.

I see I see. OK. I still hopius majorusly that they rebalance the existing hammer and don’t just introduce a new hammer to grind stats on.

It’s worth signing up at Nexus and downloading these mods yourself. When you do, Nexus tracks what you downloaded and tells you when there’s an update to a mod you’ve previously downloaded. I check it every few days and see if there are any updates that are critical to pick up. Updated a mod is as simple as deleting its folder (in the Darktide “mod” folder, and unzipping the new one in its place.

This could be true for ranged weapons… but for melee weapons there’s the question of the attacks chain.
Off course, in an ideal game, we could choose what we want to chain.
By example, there’s no attack chain for the tactical axes that are perfect for me…
I would love the light attacks of the MK IV and the heavy attacks of the MK II.

I don’t think we will get modded weapons…

If we don’t consider variants to be different weapons, should CoD count the different weapons ? As they are part of big groups ?

tf does cod have to do with this game
different weapon VARIANTS are still variants of THE SAME weapon

so no, what they’re releasing are still the same weapons with essentially different stats w bonuses

You know what makes different weapons different? The weapon itself… ie devil claw/heavy sword, chain axe/chain eviscerator/chainsword

This “new release of weapons” is just lazy design like the map designs.
Fatshark puts up a s***ty front of productivity and im not surprised that everyday people fall for it.

Why not Vortex? If you have a decent number of mods, it’s not going to be practical to manually check for updates every time you fire up the game. Seems like a good idea to automate that using something like Vortex.

I could be wrong here, but I believe it has something to do with the fact that since Fatshark doesn’t “officially” support mods that the support Nexus itself provides to the game is limited in some capacity that makes integration with Nexus less than ideal. I don’t really know the details.

It sounded like the DT modding community was angling to come up with their own mod manager tool or something.

I believe Catfish confirmed there are more weapons in the update than just the 2 they’ve teased. I’m guessing one variant on a unique weapon per class since that follows the pattern of the other 2.

I dunno I’m happy to see some new weapon variants personally, gonna hold off on judging till I see the full list of what is in the update

If theyre releasing more weapons, no matter variant or a different type all together, then they chose the worse 2 weapons to tease. I too would reserve my judgement (because imo the fire sword is still cool), but if they have more weapons to release and chose these 2 variants to tease instead (because they think theyre the coolest ones out of the bunch, or the other weapons arent ready to be released and could be postponed for a later date), then it doesnt bode well for the other weapons.

Long story short, the “new” weapons are either going to be mindblowing (ie fire sword) or really lackluster and a waste of literally everyone’s time (ie another hammer).

Edit: What’s next, a new Bolter? With very minute differences like they did with the 3 ripper guns? (Which shouldve been just 2)
That would be a serious kick to the blue balls for the community. Tryna hype up the update so more people come back, only to be massively disappointed yet again and again.

Literally the only awesome thing they’ve done so far since release was ;

  1. Fix the game (which shouldve been done at release)
  2. Add full crafting (which shouldve been done at release)
2b. They legit said they’re tryna spice up the crafting thats why they held off, but it’s not only lackluster, but people were still mad at it = great time use devs.
  3. Give weapons that were not in the game, but (if i remember correctly) were in trailers/teasers
  4. Installed resource notifications for the team, which people were also pissed about because it was intrusive, which they’re now making an opt out option = another great time use devs.
  5. Emotes exclusively in the morningstar. Im kidding, what a joke.

Edit2 : and that without going into their money hungry, time eating, tactics like the fake rng system and vaulted skins.

I strongly disagree the two that teased aren’t exciting personally. A thrust focused force sword sounds potentially very stylish and satisfying. The T Hammers seem to have the feature a lot of people have asked for, cleaving through enemies to hit the special on an elite with trash around it, and from the picture and wording could well be paired T Hammers which I would certainly expect to feel and play rather different from what we have. Also very possible that this will come with buffs/tweaks to the T Hammer we already have.

Of course hard to say how much variety they add till we actually get to play with them and obviously YMMV on what new weapons get you excited.

Regardless it is new content and is strongly suggested there’ll be a sizeable amount of balance changes and fixes to go along with the modifiers and new weapons. I’m just not about to be pessimistic about this update yet, too much we don’t know about it at this point.

And thats why im “slightly” pessimistic. We don’t know too much at this point, when this is supposed to be one of the biggest updates, if not.

They’re hyping it up, so they get people in the bag, then they have free range over what they will actually do/release on update. By then, people are already interested in what they have to offer even without knowing full context of what’s to come.

You got more weapons? Tell us then. Plan on fixing stuff? Tell us then. About to balance weapons out based on the new weapons? Tell us then. Because for all we know, they’re just saying stay tuned just to say stay tuned.

Without them concretely saying anything, it’s literally all smoke and mirrors. Smoke and mirrors like launch. Smoke and mirrors like the early premium cosmetics store. Smoke and mirrors like the “cancelled but improved” crafting system. Smoke and mirrors like the darn emotes. Smoke and mirrors like Melks in terms of both missions and rewards (where they literally changed melks rewards to worse rewards, then changed it back because they realized it became a waste of time.) Smoke and mirrors like character creation, where they say they’ll add more characters later down the road semi or quarter annually, but also have a max character count of only 5.

Edit: ffs, one of the biggest zealot bugs where his dash is cancelled when getting ranged hit is still unresolved, its been 3-4 months
Edit 2: spamming a heavy/light but only repeating the first attack swing of the pattern while pressing on certain keys, still also unresolved
Edit3: time and time again, we give them the benefit of the doubt but theyve never exceeded past our expectations, sometimes not even reaching it, ie crafting/resource notifications. We are literally the dumb ones because we fall for their facade every single time.
