Additional reason to believe that those hammers are paired/twinned
Looking at the metal grates we can guess that the hammers aren’t as big as the 2h Thunder Hammer, but much smaller, about the same size as the Force Sword. Which we know is about the same size as the current Force Sword as it’s a 1h Force Sword that is seen in the Psyker showcase
Found it, but it doesn’t really have anything themed on bleed, but could be good nonetheless
I practically never picked up the WP but I tried it today because someone talked about those hammer, and they are so good to use, I’d much rather have those move set than the one on the Dwarf Twinned Hammer
We will be introducing some experimental branch changes around GPU hang ups, as well as other tweaks in the upcoming patch also, which I hope will help!
It will still be a sizable patch for sure - that was poorly worded from me (sorry) and I will be going back into the post now to add a clarification to avoid any further miscommunication.
I tried it, and tbh I didn’t like it that much, I’d rather have the 2h Hammer from Kruber or from Bardin
Thought I’d prefer the Dwarf 2h Axe
@FatsharkCatfish 2 quick questions: “Will there be smaller Comm Links revealing the weapons ? Leading up to the patch” and “Is there any new information about Crossplay”
While that’s fair i think part of 40k is being able to rule of cool it somewhat. Like las guns historically don’t have a thing that lights people on fire when you hit them but it makes for a pretty kick ass blessing. Not to mention the depiction of psyker powers are pretty broad as far as what a trained psyker can or can’t do.
I’m hoping the Psyker buffs will involve a focus on raising Psyker’s average power by buffing their synergy with non-force weapons. As it stands, Psyker’s feat selection is almost entirely focused on force weapons and brainburst, which gives Psyker a handful of highly effective builds. Particularly with the Purgatus staff, and a large number of subpar builds that while useable, do not give Psyker a specific niche that Zealot or Veteran can’t already fill better.
I’d love to see some tweaks to existing feats that would make Psyker a more effective crowd control class when using guns. One way this could be accomplished would be by leveraging Wrack and Ruin and Kinetic Flayer. If Wrack and Ruin could trigger on any enemy type, and Kinetic Flayer procced more often, but only under certain conditions (On crit, on weakspot hit, for a limited time after ulting etc…) Psyker could turn any non-force weapon into an effective crowd control weapon.
I think that having Kinetic Flayer proc on weakspot hit would be best, since most of the staves aren’t made for hitting weakspots, and would be more effective with inner tranquility or Warp Unleashed at T2. Non-Force Ranged Weapons would therefore be the best way to proc wrack and ruin through kinetic flayer.
I think that removing the cooldown on kinetic flayer, but giving it a low proc rate that increases with each weakspot hit, resetting whenever it procs would be a balanced way to improve the feat. It could even be indexed to the fire-rate of a given weapon so it procs more often for slow-firing weapons.
High fire-rate weapons are typically better at crowd control anyway though, so it might not be unbalanced to give the slower weapons a lower proc-rate for kinetic flayer, as higher fire-rate weapons are typically better at crowd control anyway, so giving slower weapons better crowd control might make them too versatile.
For the love of holy emperor… god forbids Ogryn players willing to have fun like zealot and vets have.
For once we had a good and fun ranged weapon, which is now back to trash
@FatsharkCatfish please, I beg you to reconsider your position and leave this blessing the way it is, remove the stab and provide the rending as baseline for can opener…
That’s weird since WP skull splitters are identical to dual hammers in terms of animations and damage. Saltzpyre is just taller so its easier to headshot.
But if it is dual thunder hammers that makes me wonder why they didn’t bother making a bigger force sword or something interesting. Beyond it being part of that 70+ weapon list that never made it but here we go ‘content’.
Wait is this against the Twin THammer or against the Force Sword 2 ?
If against Twin THammer → Dual THammer sound awesome to me
If against Force Sword 2 → It’s difficult to judge without knowing what the special attack and the full move set is gonna be like. Like we have the Ogryn with 3 knives and each have their own uses
Whoopsies, I also made the mistake of getting my hopes up.
Its probably going to deal trash damage on final target. You watch. No one will use it. I dunno why but the design paradigm seems so heavily tilted towards WOAH THERE, NO FUN ALLOWED.
@adam.szitas and @Reginald
Just to say but this isn’t the full patch, it’s just a morsel and Catfish already confirmed that there are other weapon and other stuff
