This varies in the lore also - especially as most authors propably have no grasp how a military hierarchy actually works.
But most books deliberately show the areas of responsibility of different imperial sub factions as very diffuse. Thus authority is often enforced by power rather then the proper place in the system.
A commissar doing what she wants- if being successful - might very well get away with it. And if that is her experience she might push it ever further until one day she steps on the wrong toe.
I find this lore peace quite in line with many other lore I read over the years.
I served in the military for 2 years and Iāll tell you that this does seem to be fairly obvious. Captain Wolferās a glaring example, unless thereās some kind of huge plot twist about the Moebian 6thās leadership incoming.
You see⦠Captains donāt lead entire Regiments, they lead Companies. Companies will typically only comprise about 1/10 of a full-sized Regiment. Colonels lead Regiments and theyāre a whole 2 ranks above Captains in 40K, with Majors bridging the gap between them. The Moebian 6thās Colonel Gortun hasnāt been seen for ages and they apparently introduced Urmal (an Admonition Priest) to the Regiment, indicating potential treachery on their part alongside that of Captain Wolfer.
My question would be⦠whyās Captain Wolfer the one leading the Regiment? If Colonel Gortunās been killed or incapacitated, a Major shouldāve taken over the Regiment in their stead. Iāve some severe doubts that a mere Captain could successfully dispatch even an absolute minimum of 3 Majors in order to secure power by force.
Captain Wolferās either VERY charismatic, a tactical genius or reporting to someone higher who weāre unaware of at this current time. Colonel Gortun or at least one of their Majors, mayhaps? Based on his harsh opinions regarding the Cultists, I donāt think that he directly serves under any Admonition authority.
You seem to forget GW authors tend to be hazy about actual military terms and just use stuff that sounds cool.
Mixing up divisions (10 000 - 25 000 troops)* with regiments (1 000 - 8 000)* for example.
Maybe the scenario is that Wolfer led a mutiny and itās just a cult of personality rather than a traditional hierarchy now. But yeah, fast and loose with the details as always.
Damn, I⦠Can I see some women that Iāll be wanting to respect? Like Hadron. Or at least Zola (her voice isnāt perfect, but Iām ok with this, she is āHQ girlā).
But comissar sounds like a young lady who pretending to be adult and important? She must be a woman, not a girl. Where is the power and stiffness? Like guys said in Steam discussion: āleak of commander pressenceā.
As Stanislavsky would say: āI donāt believe it!ā
Sorry if this is off topic, I have no idea about this forumās life.
Maybe Iām just a rebel but I feel more inclined to not like the Commissar no matter who they are. Just some arbitrary authority figure who is awkwardly imposing themself onto a ship. Theyāre young so could even be fresh out of Commisschool (or just popped out of a hole in the ground).
she doesnāt seem to be that young. sheās just got a less weathered face than most of the people we see, which mostly means she hasnāt seen as much harsh weather as the rejects.
Iām going to be a little toxic. In verme in honour of the halloween Double Experience, and we have a description of the reasons for the comm arrival - well somehow unequal. When are there going to be some NORMAL events, giveaways. Anything at all.
I understand you try and so on, but the game is already everything, it is waiting for content, and it is not there
Iām gonna be a little toxic, too. they should remove the zealot class from the game and replace it with an enforcer reject instead that focuses on shielding the team while handling melee.
More toxicity.
No really, at least one normal event in honour of the holidays is planned, for the next anniversary, for the new year?
New Maps, new weapons, new difficulty? Itās cool, but itās not. New modes, at least something. I donāt follow verm closely, but I can open a page in steam and there events for a month can be more than we have for half a year, how so. With the update of the kraft system returned interest to the game people, and keep what do you plan to do, the fact that there is no road I think everyone has accepted, but sit and guess when and what will be annoying.
I do not think that someone will be against if we add an analogue of the Wastelands of Chaos from Verma, yes we do not have so many locations just in terms of variety, but it will be little significant given the fun mode.
With cosmetics and Fomo also accepted, you will never put all the cosmetics in the access, but to make a separate 4th page for a random previously released costume that will be updated once a week (two is too much). Well, a lot of people would even thank you for such a system. And the prices are overkill, especially considering that a lot of things are just literally repainted.
Crafting system brought the game in release version (jokes about the beta version) and now itās really what will happen next? Story - personally I donāt care about it, Iām interested in gameplay (not the next balance tweaks), maps, weapons, modes - now I donāt see any of that and itās sad.
I agree, this is yet another example of the person incharge of the voice direction at Fatshark doing a very poor job getting the right voice and tone out of these amazing actors.
Dukane has the same issues as Rannick, sounding childish and immature and it comes off as completely unbelivable. Then we have the others like Masozi and Hallowette who are so offtone for the setting or their position in the hierarchy.
The absolute worst for me is Shipmistress Brahms. That is a character that was utterly destroyed by the ineptitude of the person doing the writing and direction. She went from āmost mysterious and powerful figureā to āclown character no.6ā in a single update.
Even characters that have been done well have certain lines that make you wonder what the hell the audio team is smoking.
There is no way they have the same person as Vermintide 2 had in charge of the Voice Direction. Has to be someone new.
Saddest thing is that the audio uplifted Vermintide 2. Thank goodness the music still slaps.
