Unless I’m mistaken and I didn’t notice, there are no synergy between classes. I think it could be cool to have this feature in the game, like if you have two characters of the same class you get a specific buff or perk.
There’s no such synergy. Some classes and their talents or ultimates will bring better results and create more versatility and utility to the team and that’s all synergy you can have.
Also synergy buffs you offer will likely lead to a more strict team compositions, because some classes compositions 100% will give better result, than for example classic 4 classes.
There’s already support abilities meta at least on eu server and if we are to believe what asians here write, on asian servers there’s no place for zealot anymore in most teams.
Imagine what happens when 3-1, 2-2 or 2-1-1 and maybe 4 or the same class will bring even better results cause of synergy buff or perk.
nah I always hate those RPG elements that are basically ‘this character is super best friends with X and hates Y’. besides the game encourages tons of synergy between players already in loadouts. Its more that most players don’t even play close enough for coherency benefit let alone those beneficial synergies.
While I like the idea of some camaraderie-like system, there isn’t that much of an obvious fatal flaw or area that the classes are lacking in to out right warrant such an effect.
vet - ranged
zealot - melee
psyker - glass canon
Ogryn - kinda tanky
Arbitrator - tanky mix
Scum - mobile mix
I’m too tired to write a good summary of what the classes are designed around, but when you propose a team buff, do you lean into their strengths, patch their weaknesses or go with other side-complementaries?
Smite psyker
Arbites aura do extra damage against stunned
Hive scum talent that does extra damage against stunned, bolt pistol blessing for damage against stunned, shoot the crowd of shotgunners the psyker is smiting and take out like 4 in one shot.
There’s synergy. It’s just not “get 4% damage when you have an ogryn on your team”
My initial idea was for scums; if there’s more than one of them in the team you get more toughness or power or something like that since scums are usually like a pack of wolves.
You do though. Two stimm supplies can give you either double the buff, or every single buff on the tree.
Forced synergies are boring, I want to play what I want to play. This is not wow
That’s not what I’m talking about.
What are you talking about? You aren’t forced to play anything.
and neither should you.
havoc shows already how it is NOT done, come “synergies” this cuddle meta would clutch together ever closer.
not only rejecting players out of “non meta builds” but by not bringing the synergy flavor of the day.
what is it with this “forced attachment”, one should pick freely and not give a thought about who’s in the team.
if they’re skilled, they’ll prevail no matter the “number fluff”
if they suck, no matter of artificial buff should elevate them beyond station

Yeah…I dislike this quite a bit about Havoc. It’s silly difficulty modifiers have been introduced to “promote” under-utilised blitzes, and abilities. One of the worst Fatshark mistakes in my book. No difficulty modifier should push you towards a specific build or weapon. So far this hasn’t fixed the build or weapon balancing issues in the game, if anything Havoc modifiers have amplified those issues.
that’s why I resent that mode cause I can’t take pride in something another “provides”
the games combat flow is about dopamine and seeing it flow through a fluid, fast paced motion of your own doing.
not waiting for the blue bubble to burst or yellow shower to run dry
I have no idea what you’re talking about. What is havoc and meta build?
you should check both out before suggesting synergies ![]()
Well that’s why I first said “Unless I’m mistaken and I didn’t notice”. ![]()
well then my advice stands.
have a look at current havoc material, there’s plenty on youtube.
as well as the current “established meta” which a majority of those providing said material generally use.
it’s a very uniform playstyle that sacrifices personal influence for mandatory abilities of certain characters I personally feel redundant and bland.
Yeah I know. I’m saying the buffs already exist, just not like you want them to be listed on your UI.
It’s also why you can swap your aura and blitz without having to redo your tree entirely now. Already got 2 survivalist veterans? Swap to the damage aura. Already got 2 bazooka hive scum and a power maul ogryn? Swap to smoke grenades so they don’t get shredded by ranged damage.
The point I’m making is that is where synergy is. Not in flat buff for having 2 of a class type.
The classes are all fairly generalist at this point. With the combinations of Auras, Blitzes, Weapons, Combat Abilities and Talents pretty much any class can spec into any role they want
