Clarification for vultures dodge

Could we please get some clarification as to what this talent is meant to do? It doesn’t function like it says on the tin and it doesn’t even give a chance at protecting from crusher overheads like it did on release. I’ve done as much research as I can and given the source code a read. I understand dodge angles etc but it just doesn’t work properly. Please revert whatever you did to break it if you are intent on keeping rangescum nerfed on the ammo front

Hey I’m all for buffing ranged builds but..Vulture’s dodge only worked on ranged attacks before the latest rework.

I see they changed it to all attacks in the tooltip.

If any attack is going trough in that 1 second window, I would create a bug report post.

Unless somehow, like grabs/disable attacks, overheads are not considered attacks. (which they clearly are if we are going to be pedantic and stuff)

It always only worked on ranged attacks. Fatshark just never bothered to correct the tooltip even when they released the class.

It does work, melee uses 2 hitboxes for confirming a hit. If you are still close to the swing, you’ll be in the critical hitbox of the move that doesn’t care if you’re dodging. This is how the game is able to nerf your dodges and you feel it (in most cases, there are some greasy dodge set ups that can still avoid most attacks into fatigued dodge count). You are avoiding the big hitbox of melee attacks when that’s active. Someone made a mod for visualizing hitboxes and they clearly show 2 different angles. One giant sweep you can avoid by dodging, and then one tiny hit you can only avoid by physically not being in that space.
