And its so abuse that i can possibly imagine. Use of this is completely negates lack of skill of survivability and its irritates me.
In last game i recieve near 600 dmg and fell once, and another “member” recieve 2.100 dmg and fell 6 times. And he actively abuse mod that leads to anomaly that he have more active time in shootin people than me, and even when he fell in another corner of a map he just reconnect and whoosh. He already with team.
Im confused. Irritated. Im no longer want to play with him. Even through he is good man in general.
When i go to kill something in front of the team i know my limits and leave battleground when things go hard and i know “one step further and u will fell”. Its limitates me as a killing machine. Its teaches me that some actions have consequences.
This mod is bad. It is like some sort of c a n c e r with metastasis.
I dont know why people choose to play like this. A large part of the fun is how quickly a run can go south. Disconnecting like this just negates the pressure you get from that. Unless Fatshark does something with the reconnect system in general, i dont expect anything to ever change with it
Sequence based penances eh? Have they been a net benefit to the game?
I’m ignoring them on the basis they’ll either pop by themselves, or I’m not worthy of having them. Shame the regular cycling of the player cast has a negative effect on everyone who sticks in the game.
I heard back in the day that the reason it works the way it does, is because Fatshark wanted some lenience on the players for all the crashes etc. back around release.
But imo they should have long since fixed that. If I had my way, I’d change two things about the whole joining an ongoing game thing:
The first time a player joins, they always spawn with a full clip, enough ammo, a minimum of 51% health remaining (so at least over 1 wound left) and a grace period with not just immunity to dmg like now but a full on noclip mode where they have a few seconds to move literally through the enemies to reposition.
But from that point on, the player shares their state with the bot. If the player leaves after being downed / dead? Then bot is downed with the same health remaining, or dead. If the player rejoins and the bot is still down or has died while they were gone, then the player shares the bot’s fate.
I understand leaving, there’s enough reasons for that after all. But I’m really not a fan of the whole rejoin exploit thing either.
Maybe if Fatshark fixes their server and not random lag , disconnects or crashes then we can.
but just to keep in mind, if you go down and reconnect you get your wound, you dont get infinite HP, also all Weekly Reset, Monster Kills/Dreg/Scab , also sometimes it removes from you grenades and partial of your ammo.
Dt is like the easiest tide game by far
There are weapons so insanely op and that’s before you get maxxed versions with great rolls and optimal blessings and perks

It’s 25 to 40 minutes (less if you join mid op) when you have to have your head in the game.
When you have to quit because food arrived or World Bearers are knocking on your door and they wanna talk about some book - I understand, but for the all other stuff?
They just need to make it so that a bot replaces the player and preserves the same state. If the player is down when they disconnect, the bot that replaces them should be down still as well. This would solve the entire issue and just makes sense.
Im care. Because i cant be warhammer 40k jesus that go all way to the elevator and start the event, then reconnect and “magic” teleports u to the team in start of the level…
I see this a lot. I’m not a FatShark employee, apologist, or even general advocate. But there’s this misconception that “Fatshark should fix their servers”.
Actually, we connect to Amazon AWS servers, not “Fatshark” servers.
And if you read in to it, they’re actually really very good for the price. For a non-subscription game where they’re running these servers now at cost vs cosmetic purchases, it’s probably a good compromise.
Sure, P2P servers, where someone hosts the game is going to be better. Dedicated machine. Dedicated line. Great that is until that said person gets the hump and hits “leave” and ends the whole game… which judging by current Auric Maelstrom missions, is going to be --not allowed a swear word–, let’s be honest.
There’s likely a reason FS went from VT2 p2p to DT AWS. Not that I don’t expect the future to be P2P anyway…
Exactly. The exploit ruins the integrity of the game. The exploit being known for almost a year ??(since launch??) is just a testament to FS not caring about the game, community feedback or anything relevant other than calling us rejects in the posts about how they are sorry about whatever they need to delay. The game is a joke.
