When Valaya’s Brew proc’d the duration was normal for the given potion, however when I drank the potion the duration was doubled.

We have to wait for confirmation but I don’t think this is a bug.
We have the same afterall with the normal adventure mode traits where a potion effect you get through Proxy also isn’t influenced by the potion trait you have. And this has been like this for years.

Good point, I hadn’t thought of the similarity to proxy. We’ll see what happens!
I don’t think this behaviour isn’t intended or normal.
