Both these specific pants and boots are present in the game but never attached together.
Thus rather than having a sixth recolor of this specific item (we already have 5 of them), I would humbly suggest that this should be the lower body cosmetic we get in the Vanguard Bundle.
Not only would it match exactly the looks of the guard from the trailer, it would add some simple variety to the free legs cosmetics pool. (as well as having matching pants because the harness legs were modeled to go with the harness flak chests, not the flak chest without harness, here’s what I mean)
Remember we didn’t get this stuff out of the goodness of their hearts. These things were given to us because ObeseTubaFish figured they would A) make the least profit on the store so would be the cheapest to sacrifice, B) required absolutely no investment beyond changing a few numbers in a UI and zero testing, and C) had a chance of being mistaken for actually new stuff so they would distract enough sheep from their epic-level screwup long enough for the issue to go away.
They are going to invest the absolute minimum of effort into this stuff. Even something like this, which is really just copy-and-pasting two meshes, is too much effort. No. ObeseWhales are going to keep anything they deem decent back to put in the store in the hopes of catching more whales.
