uhu, so calling out people doing stupid stuff legitimates those people doing said stuff cause somehow over the past 20 years it became the new “normal” and has to be tolerated… gotcha.
and you got to give credit to have 2 years of patience before the last 4 dudes were the straw that made the camel go
how about not tolerating such things and going the extra mile trying to expect a certain degree of proficiency at some point up the ladder.
and i´m talking of 4 different (5 if you count mortis trials) difficulties to chose from before entering auric maelstrom and above.
hardly getting snatched in kindergarden and thrown into wall street.
i´m sure you wouldnt be that lenient if your plumber was fking up your bathroom and just “man i saw a tutorial on youtube and thought why not earn money with it”
saw a documentary couple years back with hidden cameras… i dont know where the feces came from and how in the world they would erupt through the tiles… but man it was literally a show
Do you happen to pick your plumbers by spinning a casino wheel or do you seek them out based on reputation and merit? If you do it randomly you should logically expect the possibility of bad ones.
And yeah once you start using such terminology from my perspective you kinda deserve getting such players because it’s all contributing to worsening the community.
Solo play with bots would be close though, even if it doesn’t really mix with a co-op game. I’d settle for improvements to the social tab and being able to send messages and such to others.
well i´m not sorry i´m all out of rainbows and unicorns then
right now, given the shortage of skilled craftsmen in a 500 mile range, its a ghost town casino amidst the desert.
fake reviews dont help either
reputation aint worth sh!t sadly, had my house redone years ago and dude i´ve seen things…
new generation of them has not improved i must say.
from not showing up on time or at all to doing questionable stuff (“knaub”) there wasnt much difference in who you picked be it electrician, plumber or someone fixing the roof.
so i´d say the comparison isnt too far off.
anyways, this is getting us nowhere.
you go your way of approaching things like that and i do mine, i just prefer the “nietzsche” way
What? Lmao… Literally most people at this game are not great in general & that’s just how it is if you’ve ever actually played it. It’s very tiring, carrying people all the time & I’m not trying to sound egotistic either. I used to not care, but it’s gotten to a point where it’s too exhausting. Why would I want to carry an entire team? That’s not fun for me personally. lmao. Maybe if FS had better in-depth guide system, then it maybe wouldn’t be so bad. Also, most people that are at these higher levels are either carried or they crutch on broken abilities or weapons, right. They don’t belong there at all. If the game was a bit more balanced, you wouldn’t see so many noobs at higher difficulties. To make the game harder, balance it more, so you have to engage with different mechanics & that’s how the more skilled will shine through more. It will at least gate out players that are maybe less skilled. I’m not here trying to sht on poorly skilled players, it’s just that there are better ways to construct the game so we don’t have to deal with this crap. They’ll never learn, poor-skilled players always go down in harder difficulties & just die regardless because they don’t soak in any knowledge. It’s too easy for them to get to 30 & just go right in there. I don’t think the gating system of the progress bar goes far enough, in my personal opinion. It’s too easy… Carrying is never the answer. If everybody puts a little effort in, we can all succeed without one person being a little sweat-lord, try-hard. It’s a more enjoyable experience in my eyes, with everybody being more competent in Havoc’s & Maelstrom’s which can be a challenge. What you’re suggesting is nonsensical. I want players to feel empowered & confident enough not to rely on somebody else as their crutch.
I have a pre-made… That’s on my skill level, but I’m forced with randoms when they’re not available. Plus, this is really an empty statement, not addressing anything I’ve mentioned.
I have given it thought, it’s the only realistic way to eliminate the element of randomness from the game, that’s why it’s there. Maybe you need to sleep on it and think about it instead?
Can also always find more like-minded people to play with not just a few if public matches are detrimental to enjoyment.
i guess people would only understand if they had to pull off double shifts for a year at work cause their co workers aint cutting it and stuff has to get done no matter what.
a game, pastime whatever you wanna call it hold no “value” in terms of time spend or effort invested.
once you try to get somewhere though, in a team game no less and find the majority of your mates slacking like it was the most normal thing in the world you get a grasp for how exhausting it can be joining a higher difficulty knowing if you mess up it goes south quick.
randoms as a source of “new content” every match are fine in general, far more so in my opinion than having the same other 3 players for years and years.
it keeps things fresh.
random though doesnt mean incapable by default, just you don´t know em and dont need to know em cause most likely you wont see em again …ever.
random shouldnt mean either “this mode is 3/4 of burden put on one player and its a “good” thing”
the whole game´s premise shouldnt be “pick a premade or suffer the consequences”
I don’t need to sleep on anything. If FS balances the game properly, ='s less bad players in higher difficulties. It’s really not that hard to understand that concept. Because they’ll have to actually engage & this will weed out poor-skilled players. It’s not bullet-proof of course, but it’s a start. I feel that’s very rational & reasonable. You gave literally nothing in your response, but an empty retort. You obviously didn’t give it some thought or you’d have a better solution. Maybe think on it a bit more there.
Maybe you need a hint instead? How do you find a team that shares your game skill level right now without the pains of randomness? Is coming to the forum and humble-bragging the solution instead? Or calling them names, that will surely fix it?
@Brad9191 Sure the balance isn’t up to the desired quality in some cases but the game also doesn’t teach enough and if the more experienced player treat less skilled players like this, you can be almost sure they’ll not learn more.
Until Fatshark gets the progression down better, your best bet is to help the team in the most constructive manner possible (if they’re receptive, many are) or just avoid the element of randomness.
Still no solutions, huh? When you come up with one that’s at least palatable, I’ll be right here. Don’t you worry. I at least gave one, but I’ve yet to read yours.
