Carrying fatigue - (player skill all time low)

ok, serious now

eu servers here, playing between noon to evening, most of the time auric maelstrom with the odd mandatory havoc to re-activate the vip status

whats the current playerbase? 10k 8k?
say 4-5k across europe.

less than 5 of my last 500 matches didnt have at least 1 player in “desperate need of support”

and 3 of em were with the infamous hunde-dudes  small world after all

as well as the ones meeting some of you folks alone in the team for example @Durandal94 (found the match from a year ago) there were people playing along at a third or less contribution when compared to the rest.

now if we scale that up i’d say 30-40% at least are “skippies”

i set my guess that high cause the gap between end results are usually 2 if sometimes 3x apart so even if they dont drop every other room they dont “participate” in the match as one would suspect with people comfortable in the setting.

i’d count them into the pool as well if at a lesser degree

Oh i know exactly what it is I just find it hilarious. Its also ten million times worse now that we have havoc and maelstrom requirements and penances. Each of those things has made it so that maelstrom is damn near ruined and auric is filled with bots. Before penances you would only ever see a noob once in a blue moon in auric now its like 8/10 games like clockwork. Also yes the casuals who play this game all want participation trophys even though theyre playing the game blind and dont know anything about build crafting or core mechanics. I also think the difficulty change had the opposite effect fatshark expected it to because the moment people unlock auric and maelstrom they feel like they are supposed to immediately go to those difficulties as opposed to them just not even knowing what the auric board is. Now we have penances specifically talking about auric maelstrom and havoc so those difficulties are now filled with malice noobs expecting carries. You combine that with every difficulty being infested with god awful perma smite psykers and Insane power creep with the new class and i barely even want to play this game anymore. Also I dont really care how much these noobs want more money and resources because 97% of them dont know how to craft and waste them on unoptimized gear anyway. Also what good is any of that if you have like 17 wasted skillpoints in your build anyway. I get that the resource bottleneck exists in this game but resources are worthless if you dont know how to get the most out of them. It also doesnt help they have no idea there are god rolls everywhere in this game and yet theyre all running unoptimized trash. Melk has god rolls like everyday and the shop is filled with green and blue god rolls and yet they still cant figure it out. Even if u dont know what a dump stat is you could inspect people in lobbies or in the star to somewhat figure out what you should be doing its not rocket science. I get that you need alot of resources in this game and the grind is totally inflated but they could atleast try just a little to learn something about the systems within this game.

My lobbies are filled with noobs everyday and if you go to earlier difficulties there are new perma smite psykers being created literally everyday and all theyre going to do is slowly climb up the ranks until theyre in my auric and maelstrom games also being carried there. Fatshark tried to stop this by making you showcase “skill” to climb difficulties but it did absolutely nothing to stop people from running to higher difficulties as fast as they possibly can. If this werent a massive problem my games wouldnt be filled with players that arent zealot running 3-5 wounds like they just hit 30 7 minutes ago and now theyre in my hi shock mission. The difficulty changes are laughable when everyone gets carried through everything including IIIVEG missions and yes were so op we sometimes carry noobs through the hardest missions in the game and theyre dead the entire time.

The problem with this game is if you make a new character you see the same noobs from uprising all the way to maelstrom. You might get to damnation and auric and see some good players sprinkled in but it feels like the noobs far outweigh the people who know whay theyre doing and part of that is because the problem is so much worse than what it used to be.

This statement just simply isnt true. Horrible noobs in auric and maelstrom has been bad since penances were introduced. Its been a problem for a very long time its not just now bad within the past month thats just not true. Its worse now than it was say 15 months ago but its been bad far longer than the past 8 weeks. Before penances and havoc none of these noobs even knew what the auric board was or that it existed. Now theyre obligated to run there as fast as possible cuz they realize every 5 missions they get more penance points. Maelstrom was also ruined by havoc requirements which is why there are so many people who jump on a perma smite psyker smite their way through maelstrom
Then go get on their main to go play havoc. Also if you play lower difficulties there are perma smite psykers everywhere including uprising and then a few days later theyre flooding the auric board and maelstrom. When I made my arbites i encountered smite psykers in every difficulty and when i did the current even in malice just to get it done a few days ago there were smite psykers everywhere and its never the same on either. I have thousands of hours in this game this problem is far worse than it has ever been but it didnt start a month ago.

I’ve run into you more recently than that, I’m the veteran in this video

Pretty happy with how little damage I took, but damn I had to babysit the lvl 31 ogryn alot.

You could always just get better if you have trouble “carrying” auric.

A meme reply deserves another meme reply

P.S. Don’t smoke!

four of them to be precise

The people in my games who have to be dragged to the end of the mission who die constantly most definitely suck at darktide.

I played an IIIVEG the other day with an arbites wearing 5 wounds who was either dead or disconnecting the entire game and we drug him to the end of the mission basically played the mission without a 4th player because he was either disconnecting or dead spectating for 30 minutes straight. Guess who wasnt dead that entire game who had the team on his back just take a wild guess lol. Also why are you calling me a noob? I have thousands of hours in this game and only play hi shock missions to the point where theyre boring for the most part with a competent team. What do you have a problem
With me commenting on the steady daily barrage of malice noobs flooding the auric board? Its not my fault the playerbase is hell bent on playing missions 3 difficulties past where their skills lie. Everything im saying is true you dont have to like it I dont really care tbh im just on these forums to speak my peace thats it. When i was learning to play this game I was absolutely horrible at the game it being my first tide game and all. I put the time in to get better and I never once wanted to be a burden on any team in a difficulty I had no business being in. Unfortunately you cant say that for most people trying to play this game. Everyone wants penance points and an early
Havoc start and a participation trophy even though most of them shouldnt be anywhere near a hi shock mission.

Okay then, lets utter some more truths.

Its a team based game and in a team based game attaining and retaining a team of competent people you can rely on is a skill, an essential one.

Your proclamations of your lobbies being filled with noobs everyday in fact does you a disservice, because you are pretty much shouting like a peacock from a palace gardens about your lack of essential skill.

And lacking essential skill makes you a what?

Come now, display some social intelligence.

A guy who can’t make a post without calling people noobs twice should expect certain antagony coming his way in return

Because you told me you are one

   :+1:

Besides me not carring at all about how many thousands of hours you got in this game, how come your lobbies are filled with noobs everyday then?

Good day

, it is a pleasure to meet you

Also, some people play in regions with diverse languages. It is a bit rich to expect everyone to live like you, antagony

I wish i could say the same, but we are in a thread that’s pretty much about “i have thousands hours in this game, but i refuse to socialize and people are noobs

Now i already know the answer, but is it so hard to imagine that it creates a lot of room for slight regard and contempt?

You mean like Europe?

JFC people, thinking before talking is allowed, legal and you are free to partake in it

Are you actually aware that this was said in a thread where group of self-proclaimed l337zors is expecting everyone else to conform to their notion of being ready for a specific difficulty?

Once again i’d like to remind you about the legality of thinking before talking

i just wanted to call you antagony

Stumbled upon this mod, might help keeping track of people

And i didn’t wanted to stomp you so hard that your only answer is a reminder that you got triggered by an expanded vocabulary

sorry for that

you got me there, antagony

Sounds like OP is playing at too high a difficulty for their abilities, the game is easier at lower difficulties.
