This is a demo of how sister uses tanglegrasp thicket, the thornwake cast that is supposed* to drag enemies away. The bot is un able to command this career skill effectively as she casts it at her, and most often the hosts feet, it never drags any enemies away, it acts as a huge debuff since it blocks your attacks and enemies often hit you.
It does not function as intended, not even close. It is completely unusable on a bot.
The crank gun is nearly unusable with bots as every time you walk while firing ANY range weapon 1 bot will walk directly through you from the back and any bot that is to your left will walk directly across your screen Center and then back through.
The bots will do this almost without fail on Xbox.
Waystalker Grail Knight and bounty hunter get stuck in their career skill animations if you kill a special before the bot can fire. This will happen multiple times a mission.
Shade has ZERO idea how to effectively use her career skill, most times she will activate it with zero present enemies, if she happens to activate it with enemies present she frequently will draw her bow. She will only attack with her career skill as a defensive measure on all NON monster enemies, at no point will she use her backstab benefit, 1 because she doesn’t use her BLUR perk and 2 because shimmer strike causes enemies to look directly at you about 30% of the time. This applies to huntsman, ranger veteran and handmaiden as well as stealth potions. About 1/3 of enemies will look directly at you. Stealth does not function properly since the elf update.
Bots still have zero idea how to fight a Minotaur, and typically, as in 9/10 times all but 1 will die in the first 20 seconds because firstly, they rarely block the first attack, secondly they rapid fire attack between Minotaur attacks so they will get hit by the first attack of a combo or the next heavy attack, third they always stack up so the entire teams defense gets depleted rapidly as they only block and never parry, 4th they walk themselves into corners or against walls, which is guaranteed death, 5th they will never block the first attack from a non monster enemy while fighting ANY monster, 6th when the bots do decide that they would like to revive a human during any monster fight, the bot that chooses to revive you frequently makes a point of achieving Agro of the monster before initiating the revive, typically getting their block broken and causing the downed character to take massive damage, 7th, and this one is truly wonderful, Kruber will often switch to his ranged weapon just before initiating revive and will have zero defense.
Kruber actually STOPS, no actions at all when a large group of enemies is loading, wether or specials, horde or monster or banners. This fully breaks him for as long as a minute. This happens almost every map on cataclysm in the chaos wastes.
Can you please patch the bots, it has been a very long time since the last bot patch, and you’ve actually made them worse with updates to gameplay, as in you broke their functionality when you changed other things.
The bots need work, they get stuck everywhere, they time out and glitch into dormancy if you ask them to pick up anything. The teleport function is nice but the bots require a command in the battle orders that actually forces them to come to you when they are stuck.
And if you could teach them to use cover and establish who is targeted by rattling gunners so they do not run left right left right at the end of a tunnel while 1 line gunner shoots them all dead when they could and should very easily choose the walk to stand behind or they could separate to allow for counter play instead of holding each other’s hand while they pray and die.
