Can't redeem twitch drops or log into the darktide account

Issue Description (Required):

Found out by accident darktide was doing a twitch campaign and earned a few drops from that. Well, I went to the darktide website and hit the “Darktide Account” button in the upper left to figure out how to link my twitch account to my darktide account to redeem the twitch drops.

Well I’m just getting this error every time. Clicking the Link in twitch gives the same error. Tried both firefox and chrome.Tried Microsoft Edge too… same deal. Tried internet options > Content > Clear SSL state button too now, that didn’t fix it either. I’m not sure its on my end at this point.

Firefox:

Hi Sadei, it could be Firewall and/or Proxy - something is blocking the required connections to the server.

I only use Windows Firewall on Windows 10, and I did try to turn that off before accessing the website. I still got the same errors.

I found a way to fix it, and I’m putting it here for future seekers who have the same issue.

I clicked the link on my twitch account inventory and got the same error, so I copy and pasted the address into notepad from the browser’s address bar (I think thats what its called anyway).

I then deleted the s after http, and only that one s, from the address and then copy pasted it back into the browser, and it worked. I was able to login with steam credentials, then twitch credentials, and then click the link button.

I now have my drops.

Be safe and have fun.
