Cannot start the Pre-Order Beta because its not unlocked in Germany

When I try to start the Pre-Order Beta of Darktide on my Windows 11 PC I get a message, that the sotware hesnt been officially unlocked yet.

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

The pre-order beta is a bit ‘weird’ to find in the MS Store. Please follow the FAQ above to find it. It requires a lot of scrolling down on various pages to find the thing that actually is the pre-order beta. Unfortunately this is a MS Store UI/UX thing.

Thanks for the replys. Im pretty sure i installed the right one.
Maybe its interesting, that i couldnt find darktide in the windows store app and had to search manually via my browser. Sadly, it really looks like its not unlocked yet.

This is a weird one. Germany have a law that prohibits corpses being dismembered in video games (or something along those lines), and Microsoft refused to allow us to launch until we had addressed this - which we’re in the process of doing. Our Release Manager is actually chatting to Microsoft later today, to decide on the next steps.

That’s funny, because its unlocked via steam in germany. So it seems to be a Microsoft problem and not the German law.

Anyways, thanks for the info. Would be great if someone could keep me updated.
