Can you make it easier to trade potions, tomes and healing items?

Is there any particulr reason why if you want to switch potions with another player, you need a third potion somewhere on the ground to do so? Or if you want to switch healing items/tomes you need to find a third item first?

Carrying a tome prevents other players from giving you health potion, and if I and a team mate want to trade potions for better efficiency, we cant. Could you change that, please?

Suggestion: If a player targets another and right clicks with a tradeable item equiped (healing item, tome, potions, bombs) and the other player has an item of the same slot equiped, targets the first player and also right clicks, they trade items.

That’s a good IDEA to trade Things !!

Yes it would make it easier. But i think it adds something to the game. When you find a potion you have to look at what your teammates have, and which one should have it instead. Instead of just picking it up.

Also trading tomes and healing, wouldnt be good, now when you take a tome, your teammate should get a bandage instead of a healing potion. Adds some difficulty to taking tomes imo

Yes in quick play the potion swapping could be a nice QoL, especially since not everyone is using loadout mod, so there isnt really a way to check what trait yhey are using, but when playing with friends or a friend, it gets pretty easy to know what career makes the best use of a certain potion.

Sorry mate, I´m not really seeing how adding this feature would take something away. You´d still require coordination with your team mates, I´d say you can coordinate even more since you no longer have to rely so much on which item drops when and who gets there first. And unlike the current system, it allows you to adapt your loadout to the current situation. Maybe one of your players was downed while a potion that benefitted him dropped (or he joined the game later) so someone else took it. Maybe the player who originally carried the valuable item is now low HP so you´re giving it to someone else, etc.

The current system is also pretty counter-intuitive, from a logical sense. The fact that, yes, you can trade items, but ONLY if a third, unclaimed item of the same slot is involved, is a pretty weird state if you think about it. I cant think of any example where things ever worked that way, where you need a third placeholder to trade three things.

It is an intentional restriction meant to enforce punishing tactical restrictions on picking up loot.
Once you’ve got a decent set of reds you won’t pick up books anymore, they aren’t fun and they don’t bring a lot to the game experience in the long haul.

As said above i also think its kinda intentional to force some thought into your inventory. Then again if you already got 4 people with potions then you got more than enough resources to not care about who has which kind of pot.

You pick books because it’s the challenge to complete it with them.

This is starting to look like a D&D campaign what with the recent uptick in necromancy!

A simple solution might be to just let players drop items such as potions. The thing that’s odd about tomes is that if you have an item on the ground swapping is easy, but because every healing potion is covered in oil of soul binding you can’t drop them again. If it were intentional I would imagine FS would not want ANY swapping of books, not just no swapping when nothing is on the ground.
