Why hit him with a force push though? It’s the push attack equivalent isn’t it?

because he missed the hit registration with the first push, and he needed a second to make contact

While annoying, it is more or less a push attack. It’s your fault for doing the initial push too early. If Kinetic Flayer hadn’t triggered, you’d have been saved by the force pushattack, this way Kinetic Flayer came in clutch to deliver karmic balance and deservedly punish you kek

That’s fair but I don’t think it’s an issue. When I miss my push by doing it way too early and then do a push attack killing the poxwalker I consider it a misplay and not a balance problem

range is 9m on a force push a regular push idk but feels around 6?

But since you know that force pushes can trigger it, you can now simply avoid the issue by not force pushing bursters when running that talent.
I do not think that this is an issue that needs dev time, and a change that is effectively a nerf of the talent.

then whats the point of having it as an ability on the weapon?

Thats the reason why most psykers i know and play with, me included (I’m not a Psykermain), don’t use it. It happens to often and it’s not worth, to risk yourself or your teammates for the dmg, you can do with Kinetic Flayer. Just don’t use it. Yeah, my answer will not help you , but thats all i can say. It will be a whole different story, if you had control about it.

its really good with purge/trauma it helps get the chain reaction of soulblaze from perilous combustion get started a lot faster or in the case of surge its free damage every 15 seconds this is the one interaction i dont like about it

Yeah, i know. I used it before. But like i said: not worth in my opinion. Especially on the case with Poxburster. They are annoying as f… anyways, with her special abitlitys like not giving soundqueues, jumping arround corners, resistance to push when they jump arround corners or moving upstairs( thats a new one for me, using Venting Shriek, he don’t care). Things can go hardly wrong, when that guy explode on the wrong moment. Maybe i care a little too much for my teammates, even if they disconnect, when i try to pick them up :smiley:

As a Kinetic Flayer Enjoyer (I vastly prefer passive damage/1 shots over pretending like I’m ever going to get use out of the faster cast time after using my CA, if I’m not running empowered Psionics BB is only ever actually equipped against snipers for 99% of my builds. Otherwise I’m poking with a staff so the targets actually stun locked before it dies), main thing to get in one’s muscle memory is instead of doing the push attack against bursters, spam the ‘grab’ instead.

They thankfully did a fix for this a GREAT while ago that makes it so that instead of bursters getting grabbed like every other enemy with the initial target, they function like a proper push, so when you see/hear a burster, the best way to deal with them is to do this (with a dodge backward of course just showing the concept):

As this will get them to get shoved away even in a dense horde, as everything else gets ‘grabbed’ while the burster get’s knocked down and away.

One wouldn’t exactly know this without trying it though or seeing the patch note way back when, but it’s the main thing to do as it is a proper ‘push’ so won’t proc kinetic flayer, but will still do what you want it to do.

This also being a reason why the Force Greatsword/having a stamina curio is so absolutely goated, as having that extra stamina to work with for stuff like this/doing this to waves to ‘stun’ them and get quick breathing room is super nice to be able to do.

yeah i know it works great with pushes. but the PA is also a nice added layer of security in case the burster refuses to get pushed.
