Buff zealot

Make crit CDR not exist :raised_fist:

Only change zealot needs is letting it path into any grenade without tax nodes.

I think after the Ogryn rework and now the Arbities tree, the only thing I’d ask is they rework the Zealot tree to get rid of the tax nodes and add more accessible branches. It would give more build flexibility.

My personal opinion is that even with martyrdom, the overall melee damage is equal to or less than Ogrin and Arbites, but the damage to a single target is greater., if you only want to use flamer, you can use psyker’s Infernal staff.

Zerot has a holy revenant, but is inferior to ogrin and arbites in simple hardness. However, it is a highly mobile and fun class to operate.

It is strong enough to run around in Auric and score elite kills. However, I feel it is inferior to other classes and could use a little buffing.

Zealot has the worst skilled players by far, just leave the class as it is, all it does is spamDueling Swords Flamers and Chorus and most players dont want more ezmode shielding anyway. I’d take another Psyker Vet or Ogryn anyday, I havnt seen a ‘good’ preacher sicne they were abusing the ‘drag along’ mechanic with broken daggers, and I dont mean that tongue in cheek, the class has always been hot kark and no more than the last 6 months.

Class is fine and totally useful. Just pack a Thammer and sit back until youre actually needed.

Sssshhh let them carry on thinking theyre useful. The forums cant handle a small amount of truth let alone a metashifting amount. Keep packing that DS/flamer combo boys!

no no hes right in a sense that many zealot weapons still need QoL buffs or fixing some old pre patch 13 things.
hate to sound like a broken record but new weapons drop with more and more stamina while some things that use PA and pushes in the combo have a garbage base stamina and awful block costs

Zealot doesn’t need a “buff”. What it does need is a tree rework, because everyone knows and uses “the build”.

Until Death should not be inherent unless the cooldown becomes at least 5 minutes.

In its current state it should be a side upgrade for Martyrdom. It makes more sense there.

Zealot needs his entire talent tree reworked. Until Death should be his passive or within the mainline node pathing. The durability talents for Zealot need unattached from critting entirely, as they make all non-crit weapons worthless by default, which is functionally stupid.

As someone who farms Havoc 40 regularly and has all achievements in the game completed, Zealot as anything but a Chorus bot is hard trolling, and Chorus in general isn’t even good anymore given the sheer volume of bosses added in Havoc. Zealot needs a better identity in general, as the playstyle of running into the shooters is dead in Havoc.

Veterans are anti-specialist/anti-armor, Psykers are anti-horde, Ogryns are anti-boss+anti-horde+anti-armor. What is Zealot? He’s a bad Psyker with a Flamer, a bad Ogryn with a knife/dueling sword, and a bad Veteran with a Boltgun/Bolt pistol. Now that the Arbites exists, Zealot is a dead slot.

Zealot with FOF/Relic Blade or Zelot with FOF/Thunder Hammer are one of the strongest Havoc 40 builds. If you’re saying Zealot is only Chorus bot in Havoc, I question your experience with the game mode. Thunder Hammer is one of the few weapons that can still oneshot Bulwarks and Crushers on Havoc 40, and Relic Blade is the best melee weapon against orange modifier and Moebian 21st.

Zealot has insane boss damage, horde clear, anti-armor damage, survivability. The only reason Zealot is not that hot right now is because their game role got power crept by Ogryn and now Arbites. But unlike Veteran and Psyker who fold in melee unless you build for melee and play really well, Zealot can casually tank multiple oneshots per match without dying.

People play Chorus Zealot mainly for the team, because with randoms you need to protect your teammates which might not play best. It’s not because Zealot has one build in Havoc.

My Bully club Ogryn in Havoc 40 ends literally every game with over 500k boss dmg while simultaneously being the main tank with infinite taunting, while competing with the Psyker for horde clear damage. This is in Havoc 40 lasting under 35 minutes per game. Meanwhile, Rumbler will trivialize Bulwark waves, which will wipe most teams outright when paired with 2+ bosses. Zealot in comparison can’t complete any single one of these tasks without giving up a full room of space and spreading damage into his team. It’s a selfish playstyle that gives nothing of value to his team, not in buffs, nor in utility.

Thunderhammer is literally helpless against even 4 crushers, let alone the average armor wave of 8 crushers, 4 bulwarks, 4 maulers; you’re trolling, lol. I would love to see a video of you killing even of of those 4 crushers with Twins and 2 bosses active, while a specialist wave just spawned. Additionally, the Thammer Zealot must be handheld to even do his job, helpless vs Captains/Twins entirely. If he isn’t also hand held dealing with the horde and armor waves, he can’t even kill basic bosses on his own because he gets hitbox covered.

You go on to say it has great horde clear… the horde clear with literally any of the Zealot weapons is not even half as good as a Psyker with a gray Inferno staff playing on an XBox controller. Meleeing waves for horde clear isn’t even remotely efficient to begin with. Being durable and running around has 0 value to any Havoc 40 team; you’re just wasting everyone’s time. No one cares if you can tank 1-shots, try not getting hit at all.

Posts like yours are why the state of Zealot is as it is.

But you have ‘the build’ for al lthe noobs to magnetize onto, the class is fine DS needs nerfs. Chorus soooo OP

I dunno, Ogryn is fine, but Zealot can bring some things to the table that are valuable:

  • gold toughness for the whole team trading off some damage
  • second life and survival capability allows him to skip on healing stations and give them to the team
  • throwing knifes are instant throw and don’t use nades
