Scum and Psyker are still effortlessly deleting elite hordes. We’ve tried buffing Scum but they’re still deleting everything. We should try buffing Psykers next by making Warp Unbound a base feature of the class, maybe that’ll remove some of their power.
I’m pretty sure buffing Scum and Psyker won’t reign in their killing power, so we should also buff enemies by tripling their HP.
The goal is to put the game’s balance in a quantum state where everything is at the same time overpowered and underpowered, Fatshark has already successfully created Schrödinger’s crusher. A complete non-threat to some weapons and virtually immortal against others.
I think that “buff psyker” is just a hidden goal in every patch concept Fatshark has. Like it’s implicit, you don’t need to explicitly state it.
Remember when Ogryn got his big rework and Psyker got an arguably bigger buff just on the side in the same patch? And then Ogryns big rework got nerfed down again and Psyker didn’t?
Yeah its pretty unfair they have to get stacks of things and not just have it be active or not. I vote all the current nodes be rebalanced to alot for the removal of things that increase the duration of buffs or their max stacks. Combine them for more power, and then add more nodes so Psyker can still have a full tree. They should just all be 10s duration and yes/no buff no wind up or decaying power. Also why is it only stun immune at critical perils, that should just be Thy Wrath Be Swift. And Crystalline Will should have the same down protection as Until Death, like why would I use this to inflict wounds on myself??? Do they play the game?
Those Psyker buffs were perhaps based on Ability usage data they gathered from in the game. Newer Psykers gravitate towards staves, because they’re unique, strong and infinite ammo.
Scrier’s isn’t as intuitive as Venting Shriek or Bubble for staves with regards to Peril management. Going left side makes Psyker very squishy in melee by giving up DD mobility, 25% Toughness on DD kill, Kinetic Deflection, and 20% Scrier’s TDR; BUT offers potent Peril management options through Shriek, Empyric Resolve and Inner Tranquility.
So, perhaps they see many new Psykers going left side, avoiding Gaze and dying quickly when s*it hits the fan and melee Elites swarm them. Newer psykers then assume Psyker just sucks at melee and then avoid anything melee related on Talent tree, data then shows that and Scrier’s gets buffed again.
Theory, pretty sure other users have mentioned something similar.
The balance of classes base on the win rates and chosen rates. Scrier’s gaze and mid lane scum are hard for normal skill players, so they got buffed in several consecutive versions to make normal players able to play them. As for inferno staff. You may see soulblaze can melt tides of berserkers and maulers, but a staff psyker without teammates’ protection will also be easily knocked down by melee elites and monstrous’ several hits. That will cause lower win rates of scums and psykers, which makes fatshark keep buffing those classes.
Its crazy how my psyker has psykinetic powers and cant use their mind to get a dog or net off of them, I think they need to add that cuz I keep dying from them
Psyker; Remove the Peril mechanic. This change will allow Inferno Staff users to just hold one button constantly throughout the match without having to worry about a mechanic that is anti-fun and limiting.
Zealot; should have 0 CDR on Chorus and the heat mechanic needs to be removed from the Relic Blade, allowing the Zealot to have fun while cleaving through everything.
Ogryn; Triple his HP and toughness generation and allow him to knock down Crushers and Bulwarks when you side dodge.
Veteran, the Plasma and Bolter are simply not good enough and they both needs some tweaks so they can one shot everything including Monstrosities and Bosses (shots should go through Captain Shields).
I believe that these changes is going to greatly benefit the playerbase and lead to both a more varied, balanced and fun gameplay experience!
As always, stay tuned for more and keep crushing the heretics!
I think it creates a conflict of interest, because if you can Chorus all the time you don’t have a reason to switch to the Relic Blade - and vice versa. That’s a bad spot to put our fellow zealot players in, a Buridan’s ass grade of bad -_- Making people to choose between two funs is unfun as hell.
I would suggest FS implementing a dual wielding mechanic for zealot, allowing them to hold the Cross in one hand - while still wielding the Relic Blade in the other.
