Braced Auto guns aim assist?

Ok, this question has been driving me mad for a while now sometimes it feels like there is aim assist with the braced auto guns, when I’m testing things in the meat grinder during a braced fire the reticle starts pulling toward the target but not all the time, is it just random and I’m just associating the randomness with aim assist?

The way the game handles recoil, it moves the reticle on the screen rather than the screen itself. This is for both hipfire and braced or ADS. It doesn’t actually move towards enemies, just the game doing recoil, especially if there’s a high amount of horizontal recoil which can change direction at any point and makes it appear as if it’s tracking a target.

It’s a really, really terrible way to do it since it means you have to readjust your entire point of aim if you’ve compensated for recoil at all, but that’s what we’ve got.

It confused me at first too. It made them feel a little bit like the smartguns from aliens (which isn’t a bad thing in itself). TBH I’m still confused.

I see, thanks for clearing that up for me!

Being 100% honest and using that gun alot, I can tell you that it does seem to have a small auto aim added to it, but can not really confirm.

It does seem to be recoil, but there are times where it feels like its autocompensating.

There must have been some kind of ‘‘auto aim’’ perk/ability/weapon special or so left somewhere in the code of the Vet. Like some mechanic that was abandoned in the process of building that class, but that somehow brakes trough as some kind of code echo.

In the Beta testing phase i was playing Vet with the Combat Shotgun one level. And one time as i activated Volley Fire, the crosshair changed and dragged my aim automatically strait to the weak point (head) of an enemy that was charging at me with his melee weapon.
