Bots stuck with ranged weapons out

When certain Specials spawn, the bots (Kruber especially), will pull their ranged weapons out and never switch back to melee, even if surrounded.

They are literally standing with the ranged out and dodging Chaos Warrior and Mauler overheads.

Is it similar to that bug where Waystalker, Bounty Hunter, and Grail Knight bring their career skill out and get killed running into enemy attacks?
