Now that all marks of the Blaze Force Sword have the same mobility (and the Obscurus is not completely useless anymore), it’s pretty obvious that the Illisi, which was already fantastic due to its special attack and excellent swing directions, has lost its only drawback.
Before this update, I feel that the Deimos stood somewhat equal to the Illisi because of its high single target damage, stagger, and mobility. But now you can scratch ‘mobility’ off that list.
It seems clear to me that the Obscurus and Deimos’ special attacks need to be updated to something similar to the Illisi. They take so long to set up and finish, you’re better off not using them at all against bosses and crushers ! It’s literally better DPS to just spam their ‘Single target’ combos.
It doesn’t even knock down Crushers.
I only use the Demios force sword because psyker has so many blitzes and staves for crowd control and AoE damage I am usually lacking single target damage.
The Demios is great for that. Headshot with heavy 2 knocks crushes down on the floor, interrupting their attacks.
I never use the special attack granted. It’s not worth it. Maybe a charge up that you can build peril up with and then release for a single target damage.
I was shocked feedback of those very few people who use Obscurus was passed on and acted on. We got an updated moveset, and easier horde combo.
I would still like to see both force swords special attacks turned into something which can be easily combined with other attacks. A powered quick stab, with anti-armour properties would be nice, especially if it lost the current need to get locked to the target.
