Beasts of Nurgle

These guys can hit you after they’ve eaten you, at the very least with the tail smack. And in all honesty, I feel out of all the bosses these guys are the most unbalanced. The insane knockback on the tail, and eating you anytime you’re in front of them it just doesn’t feel good. Anytime I see one it just makes me wish I was fighting anything else.

They only eat you if you have been vomited on. This isn’t telegraphed in the game AT ALL (like most valuable mechanics) and I only learned it well after 1k hours.

It’s a very helpful mechanic to think about.

But yeah, damage from outside affecting you once you have been swallowed is utter jank nonsense and should have been fixed 64 years ago. Alas FS don’t seem to care.

BoN is 50% an idea and 50% jank. You can successfully dodge a vomit up close, and you still get hit, as apparently the hit box increases in size. You can get hit when swallowed, you can get set on fire when swallowed. You can spit out out of the map bounds. On the top of it all its attack animations feel like they are missing wind up animations, especially for something which is an AoE.

I’m not a massive fan of bosses in the game anyway, half of the time you die to them because Fatshark loves removing control of the character from the player with knocbacks, push backs and stuns. The captain shield needs a thread by itself for the bs it produces, including STILL unfixed bug where the shield explosion can instantly kill players, and disable already activated weapons.

Well, yeah, it is strongest boss in game, aside maybe from DH, but this can often be cheesed and as for other bosses compared to burgle, they not even in the same dimension.

I just want enemy giant flyes.

the slug is the one boss that requires some cooperation because it doesn’t fight you that much, rather it denies you a fight by taking up space and slowing you down. either the player who has its aggro kites it, and the others bash / shoot at the pimple. or you dodge the puke and bash the pimple from the side. back off when it whips the tail and repeat. the snout is also a weak spot, dump a bolter mag into it when it pukes and see the health bar drop.

ok, found one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEKeEonwu0c

try a 45° angle from the snout and you’re both safe from getting puked or tail whipped while able to “hit the zit”

I find the Spawn the most troublesome. The Plogryn and the Beast are not much of an issue and the DH still kicks my butt.

I need to dl the tester mod and just get used to the attack patterns.

Agree.

It jumps everywhere and is more agressive.

Also can take you, and eat part of your HP.

(EDIT: I use the word “eat” because I can’t say “suck”, you are all perverts).

One of the reasons i love ogryns rock so much, makes fighting some bosses way easier, as for DHs, you can just slap them around

Its really their moveset I need practice with but these are helpful nonetheless, ty.

The Plogryn is so easy to dodge that even with a terrible boss damage build I can generally keep one occupied, and the Beast is a little bit harder due to cramped spaces making being swallowed more of a risk, but overall and especially without much else to distract, both are easy to handle. They are predictable and kinda slow.

The spawn however, I just cant seem to avoid its grab consistently, I try dodging to the right but it still seems to get me. Funny thing is in V2 its one of the easier bosses for me but in DT it seems more aggressive.

I really just need to practice.

As for the DH, I dont have much experience fighting it so unless Im a shield ogryn Im generally gonna die unless my team can melt it pretty quick.

Again, I just need to put the mods back on for practicing.

If you don’t practice, you suck.

Iv been practicing a bit today and am starting to feel it. I think my main problem vs the spawn was dodging too much so when I did have to dodge the grab I was being caught. I just need to slow down and not panic so much which is easy to say in an Auric Maelstrom horde  Its a start though.

As for the DH, I need a lot more practice :sob:

With just Slam, Heavy Hitter and red stim right? Tried this the other day with just Slam and Heavy Hitter but DH wrecked my health.

You can perma stun DHs with 0 talents or investment other than the club at least, but having the impact and red stim just makes it easier
