Backend error: 1010

A friend gave me the game as a gift, and for the second day now, when I launch it, I only see this error.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Launching in Steam
Pressing the launch button in the launcher
Backend error: 1010

Sorry to hear this.

In the past, Backend Error 1010 has usually been associated with temporary server disruption. However, there doesn’t appear to be any current spikes in errors/disconnections that I’m aware of!

In case it’s an issue with your individual connection -

Are you using a VPN at all? If so, can you please try disabling this?

Otherwise, are you able to temporarily hook your PC up to a mobile data connection and see if the error persists? This can help in isolating the issue.

I tried the solutions you suggested and unfortunately it didn’t help. I don’t use VPN.

Gotcha! I did try to lookup account data in the backend for you, but there doesn’t appear to be any. I assume this is because you haven’t been able to connect successfully to the backend yet for it to be created.

Were you able to try a mobile data connection and did the issue still occur?

Could you please provide me with your launcher log and console log (if one exists yet) so we can take a look?
