This happened today for the first time on my pc.
We have finished the map “Gerechtes Gefecht” (1st mission) and did it on champion with all tomes and grims. In the end I was only able to close the game. 
No loot…

Yes, seems so.
I had this today, two failed starts with this error - back to desktop. Third time lucky, got into the game.
There was a very brief time where the backend was throwing up, things look ok at the moment
