Audio stuttering since penance update

Since the penance update I am having intermittent audio cut outs.
I have tried different audio devices, as well as changing in game sound settings.
I have reinstalled the game, verified game files and tried getting the game files from a friend.
I have a video of the bug on youtube that I captured earlier today.

1. Choose a mission.
2. Enjoy Audio Hell.

Yes, and I’ve tried disabling them

Hello, thanks for the reply, I have changed:
use_blocking_io = true use_blocking_io = false
in the file
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\bundle\application_settings\settings_common.ini

I will update the main post and reply after testing.

EDIT: This change has mostly fixed the stuttering issue, I did notice one or two very short instances of audio dropout during a very busy maelstrom mission but so far the playing experience is vastly improved.

another thing you could try is in game files you find the file settings_common.ini with the setting use_blocking_io = true, set this to false. This will be the default in the future, so currently it’s quite untested. But it could help If you can please try it out with direct storage and let us know if it improves anything. can i ask if your SSD is connected with m2, SATA or some other interface?

Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 fixed the audio issues, it may be specific to a certain build of WIndows
