Archetype Concept: Sister (Act of Faith Heavy)

If the Zealot is the fighter or a , then a Sister should be Paladin


Backstory: Moebian sector has many smaller Order of Sisters of Battles, certain aren’t much more than organised Zealots, conclaves built in ancient times by passing Sisters, under the name of Saint Messelina they’ve implanted themselves on most worlds, but also have had many of their smaller orders fall into disgrace.

With Sisters being left to their own device, or fate, certain being thrown in the Penal system directly.


Common mechanic:

  • Faith
    Slow refuelling resource that function as the central part of their kits (Being used in certain Blitz and ability, and being used to lower damage the Sister receive )
    Base max: 100 faith points

  • Ablative armour:
    Give rejects a percentage of damage bleed through immunity, will be lower the bleed through damage caused by missing toughness (Cover the toughness bar in a green hue

Blitz 1: Blessed strike
Switch to melee weapon and charge it with holy intent (making it glow in a golden light, like the WP in VT2, the glow only affect the blade or the head of the weapon, using the weapon segment as the base for it) animation wise would start a weapon inspection animation before completing the charge up.
Cost: 30 Faith
Effect:

  • Increased cleave
  • Increased damage

Aura 1: Divine Guidance
Decrease Health damage bleed through by 0-50% (When at max faith) for allies in coherency

Ability 1: Endless Crusade
Create a damage AoE that pulse every X seconds and give ablative armour

Blitz 2: Spirit of the Martyr
Copy of Warrior’s priest ability, being able to summon a shield upon a targeted ally, or yourself if you so chose too
Cost 50 faith

Aura 2: Divine Ministration
Allies in coherency will regain toughness after losing health damage, proportional to the amount of health damage they got

Ability 2: Standard of the Emperor
Plant a static standard that protect and buff the Rejects around it (Somewhat like a weaker Icon from the Zealot). Standing near it give back Faith to the owner.

Blitz 3: Purge the Unclean
Charge a well of holy fire, which will burn enemies in an AoE
Cost from 15 to 30 faith, depending on how much it’s charged (Charging would increase the size of the area of effect)

Aura 3: Holy Fusillade
Increase damage of ranged attacks when multiple Rejects are shooting at once

Ability 3: The Emperor’s Deliverance
Ranged Stance, instead of increasing the speed of the weapon (Like the Ogryn), or giving targeting help and damage (Like the Veteran) this one would give faith effects, where enemies near the target will also get purged.

New: Blessed Halberd, Hallowed Mace; Blessed Halberd and Shield; Hallowed Mace and Shield

in the grim dark future of androgyny and delivering the minimum viable product we don’t have sisters, we only have body type 2’s.

I want to fight Rogue Psykers, having them in Darktide would also help make Pariahs into a viable Archetype.

Here’s my list of other potential Archetypes:
•Pariah
•Ratling
•Squat
•Tech-Adept

Pariah/Blank don’t really work well with Psykers, as for Ratling (and in part Squats), they don’t really have lore that lean toward things that they would be able to introduce that is unique to them

If we’re clinging to the lore for this game, boy do they not work well with Psykers…

Like, those Psykers are gonna need a LOT of percs just to not faint when a Pariah walks into the room.
