Hey, could you please clarify if this bug will be fixed in July or August hotfix?
It will be in August, in 1.8.5.
Very sad.
Gotta drip-feed those internal bugfixes as if they’re actual content.
What’s the point of fixing it promptly when the release takes more than another month? It’s absurd.
I don’t think your developers understand what hotfix means.
Are you serious? Your company sold us a class for real money, broke it and called it a day? I knew that competence is not the best trait in FS but this is a new bottom.
If it “fixed promtly” what’s holding you back from release actual hotfix(something fixed within hours usually/few days in case you need to get approvals from plaforms and such stuff)?
I think the reason that caused alot of these Keystones are not working was because of that Quick Hotfix 1.8.4 for the Dog Bleed on July 9th, just 2 days after the 1.8.3 patch. They should have just wait longer to come up with a better solution. Now we have to suffer for another month
If freaking Arrowhead can release an actual HOTfix for an issue in a day…damn FS. You ought to be embarassed.
I’m pro labor, pro vacation and all that. But it’s become quite clear Swedish devs/publishers do not value the idea of selling a product and what that entails.
You can call one guy in and give him some overtime to push a fix in less than a month. Holy crap.
I have to agree here. It’s absurd.
They should just release the hotfix. It’s not a hotfix if it’s wrapped into a normal patch schedule.
It’s very sad how you treat your customers. In short: this is simply outrageous.
Actually, we should file a complaint with the EU consumer protection authorities.
But for that little bit of money, it’s not worth the effort for me. You will simply never get any money from me again.
Wait, they’re seriously leaving the brand new, paid class broken while they go off on holiday, despite telling us they already had a fix ready? Yeah, that’s the last of my money this game is getting. Already learned my lesson not to buy their games in the first year. They’re making it very difficult to support them in a very literal sense. Time to figure out what to do with the money I’ll be saving on skins each month.
I hear you, and I understand your concerns, but I don’t have control over this decision.
I recommend raising your concerns over at Gameplay Feedback - Fatshark Forums to ensure it’s visible to the wider team.
WHAT A JOKE.
WE PAID FOR YOUR DLC, And then when a bug appears, you guys just completely ignore it and go on holiday, for real??
Overall, Magnuson’s happy: “Our philosophy is that, as long as you come back when we do an update, we’re happy. We don’t think it’s possible to have the entire playerbase playing the game forever, constantly, so as long as they come back, we’re super happy.”
I’m no MBA, but for players to “come back” they gotta be there in the first place. Maybe there is a secret swedish capitalism hack where money later is better than money now. All’s I know is I’ve learned my lesson.
@FatsharkJulia No one rational here (or elsewhere) blames you or the CM team. It just becomes more and more curious why FS hires CMs at all when you do great at your jobs and they seemingly ignore you again and again. Good for you and yours, I suppose. Thanks, stay awesome.
The funniest part is that they said right from the start that this bug had already been fixed, it just hadn’t been released yet. So we will have to wait for a month.
This forum topic radicalized me into not buying anything paid-for for this game.
We know that neither you nor anyone else from the CM team is responsible for this.
Nevertheless, it is the intention of the company you work for to sell customers a product that does not work and to withhold an existing solution.
You don’t give us a working product, I won’t give you any more money. And “later” or “never” makes no difference.
I appreciate your effort, and I don’t want to kill the messenger, but it is NOT our job to do this. The issue has been raised ad nauseam here and on reddit. It’s simple to link to this thread and that should be enough for the wider team to get a fire lit under their asses.
They really oughta know how much bad blood waiting another two weeks minimum is going to generate.
Thanks.
For sure, I completely understand where you’re coming from, and I want to reassure you that I’ve brought this up with the team. Still, having a post made in Gameplay Feedback or General Discussion can help, but I understand if you choose not to. I saw a post on Reddit about this had been made overnight as well, which is valuable.
I can understand that a too hasty fix to another problem is what caused the talents to break but it sounds like the dev’s resilience plan needs a review if the alternative is to have everything checked by a single point of failure who is now on holiday with their kids.
Nothing you don’t already know, I’m sure <3
