The Adeptus Arbites are the police wing of the Adeptus Terra, the Imperium’s central govenrment. They normally police planetary governors and above. When you hear about governors being tried and executed, it’s these guys.

Now, the Tithe in the Moebian Domain has certainly been affected, whole planets have lost contact, so it makes sense that the situation is on the Arbites radar, but they should 100% be joining the warband as a shot-caller not unlike Dukane did. Think about it. We don’t even have a commissar class but we get supercops who are normally only assigned on a sector basis? One or even several would make sense as a high-level unit assisting the Interrogator’s war plans (and perhaps even his secret investigation ones) but a whole swarm of them filling the Mourningstar is a bit silly.

I get they are going with prestige classes, and (if this one sells well) I expect a whole line of them now, but this definitely indicates a massive tonal shift for the whole game. As you say, “rule of cool” indeed.

Never expected we’d see a new class, but glad Fatshark finally did it.

Really would have preferred to see something that was more unique, like an AdMech class, since they have all kinds of interesting weapons like halberds and rad weapons, but this is still a positive step.

The other stuff is, well - glad we can get more missions available a time, though it’s still a sidegrade to just being able to pick our own missions and modifiers. Really don’t care about the story stuff, I hope it’s not going to be annoying. The ‘story’ of this game, and 40k in general do not interest me in the slightest, I just like the gameplay. I hope these debriefs are optional or skippable.

my thanks, since i’m not into tabletop i cant gauge the “weight” of a class except space marines of course.

so far baldermorts or scholars lore videos had the “logic” of when and whom to deploy based in fairly “reasonable” nuances, when i’d have gone “exterminatus” several escalation steps ago :squinting_face_with_tongue:

so i take it arbites would be on “robocop” level when it comes to durability and combat prowess?

Will the character slots also be increased for the More Characters and Loadouts mod users?

I hope this is going to prompt Fatshark to revisit the old shotguns also…they badly need some love.

You might wanna recheck the vermintides dlc because this ones just the base price of the old classes + their cosmetics, overpriced as throne

Those extra careers had a fraction of the content of a full DT class, hardly overpriced.

Their sure to be upcoming 2400 aquila cosmetic bundles on the other hand…

I am floored! Amazed! Thank you @FatsharkKitefin and devs! I know I lost the bet on Ratling with Battlemutt-- yet we get Artbites with Cybermastiff. It is really cool! This is going to be fun and interesting to follow the storyline from the beginning as well. Having the Cybermastiff is a good start in a direction towards having admech tech priest that implements combat servitors, and also if we ever get ratling w battlemutt lol

In terms of gear, yeah, they usually have access to the best of everything, but typically more oriented for police-work than outright war-fighting. They’ll fit right in in the CQC scenarios the game has.

They don’t typically have powered armor but suits do exist. Otherwise they normally have carapace, a step up over the standard IG issue on a level with stormtroopers/Tempestus.

Technically that question is more toward the modders on Nexus, but i remembered in the posts a guy asking the same question as yours and the creator said we can manually tweak the number of loadouts and characters in the files, not 100% sure thought.

No admech unless other players on a mission are transformed into combat servitors!

Thank you and thank goodness for more character slots on account menu. Also on xbox its also hard enough to only have five saved slots on builds as well in Operatives builds tabs, can there be at least one more build save slot?
