The class is too much. Soloing auric HSTG wasn’t that difficult.
I’m not sure how but adjustment is needed.
Unfortunately, for the time being, Auric is no longer truly Auric, it’s basically the old Standard Damnation now.
As a result, players who regularly play Auric have no choice but to play Havoc instead.
they can just play regular damnation instead
havoc is too much of its own thing to be comparable to standard difficulties at this point tbh
so buy before nerf? we are talking fat shark time so it could be never.
Any dedicated player can easily do this with any class. Not a big deal.
The arbites shotgun is a monster…
The class itself is really really really strong.
And I don’t use the keystones at all.
And I said it. I feel betrayed. I won’t play Havoc.
I prefer to stop playing.
Hopefully, I liked regular damnation… but for the fact there was players that were not too much trained.
while i agree, arbites lets less dedicated players now have the same results.
(not refering to OP here specifically)
it basically allows for sloppier gameplay at the same effectiveness due to toughness regen, damage, speed and partial disabler immunity.
no other class offers that kit.
All the classes except Veteran can do equally as good or better than Arbites on toughness regen, damage and speed. The only difference is the dog that protects you from things that would be a run ender on any other class but it is the core feature of the class
I don’t use the dog… and that’s not my experience
On toughness, Arbites are better
On damages, the shotgun is a monster and what I see is that Arbites are in top damages easily, without any effort.
Arbites with dogs cannot also be caught by a dog.
My current build has all best things of the veteran and still more advantages.
I won’t complain because I feel that I was betrayed when they introduced keystones on veteran.
The current Arbites has also bad keystones (2 / 3 are bad in my eyes), but the talents are far better than veteran
Is Auric the one where you follow the Arbites while they kill everything and take all the ammo?
I fail to see how Veteran spamming VoC every 10 seconds is somehow ‘higher effort’.
Or the Zealot running double CDR Chorus along with their permanent 70% TDR. Both wielding Dueling Swords, a Bolter or a Plasma Gun.
If you want a low effort Auric run it’s just a matter of actually wanting to do it and building accordingly. Don’t go acting like Arbites is an outlier.
right here´s the “fail” in my opinion.
it aint a higher effort, it results in less “value” depending on your lack of skill and gameplay.
spam voc all you want, if you charge head first into 5 crushers your yellow toughness wont save you, same for zealot.
arbites got skills like 50 max damage on health combined with several toughness regen nodes, some based on what your dog does
so you recharge front back and center while simply mashing forward.
zealot and veteran do that ?
honest question since i havent played vet in over 1 1/2 years and never touched zealot
gimme an oscar already
To be fair you are comparing the new class that has a reworked talent tree with dear old Veteran, the one class Fatshark seems to be completely unable to balance without making it onboxiously OP (pre talent tree bolter vet) or worse than everyone else (current vet).
Zealot is the best in melee but lacks in ranged damage
Psyker is the CC ranged class and is much better at clearing crowds than anyone thanks to the purgatus staff
Ogryn is either the best tank in the game or the best ranged damage dealer depending on the build
Arbites is the melee CC class that can stagger pretty much everything for a very long time but doesn’t deal that much damage compared to the other melee classes (shotgun is very good tho but it needs to be at least that good otherwise it will be replaced by bolter)
Vet is… uh… the gold toughness dispenser ? I really don’t like what FS did to the Vet because it was my first character and my main until wannabe Judge Dredd was added to the game. They seriously need to have a look at the talent tree and do something to reinforce the identity of the Vet as the ranged damage dealer
they do.
zealot is more mobile so he dodges damage, while arbites tanks everything with castigator. it’s a bit “BBB on autopilot”.
arbites “break the line” + engage is a similar dash as zealot’s but doesn’t do damage.
vet is more of a support with ammo aura and shout, unless he goes plasma womp womp.
Too many damage Talents. Concussive Talent also takes Arbites to a completely crazy level, game changer.
Iam certainly doing something wrong, since a lot of people call it a beast.
Is it a certain talent and blessing combo, or what makes it good?
Really, without even trying many tests…
Here what I used:
With arbites maul and this shotgun I used the build I want to test.
As I am not at level 30 yet, I add each time a point
I did not put a +5% critical chances, because on Arbites critical is just increased damages. I preferred +10% damages against elites
Zealous dedication can gives you +16% critical anyways. But critical is best with the arbites pistol.
March is really great (+15% move on ranged hit)
Priority endowment (+15% clip size) is great on this shotgun, as it gives you more one or two shells.
Monstrosity hunter is also a must. +20% damages against ogryn and monstrosity, you can translate it by +20% against unyielding… that “add”
to the one I have put on my shotgun (multiplicative bonus)
Target priority is also a must have. +15% on enemies with full health is a game changer.
And Withering fire, +15% damages on reload, is also a good thing. But to take advantage on it, you must reload frequently.
So in other word, you reload it entirely when there is nothing attacking you. It permits to clean a room with a clip. You reload 1 or 2 shells in combat and fire. Then you can benefit of a +15% bonus from reloading,. a +15% on full health enemies and several damage bonus.
This build is just a test. I know how I play. I will test, test, test, everything on my own. I won’t read what others say, or I will but not take that as the truth until I tested it myself.
This means that.. ion 1 or 2 months, if you ask me the same question, my answer could be a little different (yes 1 or 2 month because I actually don’t play Darktide at full time).
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
They made Auric easier than before. If you played any of the other Classes since the Update you would have noticed that its not just Arbites cakewalking through the Matches.
Did you played Zeal or Vet in a game with an arbites and look at the scoreboard afterward ? I know you didn’t.
Plasma ? The arbites shotgun (2nd model) is better against everything, even crusher, is more accurate, don’t overheat, and give 25% anti-armor with his special, + got the best ammo conomy in the entire game.
Support ? Have you played the nuncio and read the ton of buff + debuff on it that last for 20 seconds ? The only thing the vet does beter is giving gold toughness, and is less useful that having at least one nuncio in the teeam with one more guy plying arbites.
The arbites is just better than a zealot, that’s all. Do some math, go read and compare, look at the cleave of each classes when they go melee, and realize that once again the arbites got all that + better weaons.
The cope is unreal. The class is incredibly stronger than the other, except maybe Psyker in some cases, but even then, you far from having the same resillience.
