Aquilas as Event Rewards is AWESOME, and should be part of the core game

It does and it’s enough. Either play it because you want to or don’t.

They should do something similar on what they did to Versus in VT2

Create a new currency for exclusive Versus (In this case, Havoc) weapon skins

It’s as simple as that

Gives me a reason to check out each and every event for the life of the game. You hear that FS, adding AQUILAS to the events means people comeback each and everytime.

There should always have been Aquilas as an event reward for past events too. If you want people to actually interact with your store, you can break the ice more easily by letting people buy a cosmetic piece after an event. Having a foot in past the door’s threshold increases the chance they’ll step inside.

But what do I know?

It doesn’t work like that. Partialy because Havoc will be their main focus. It’s basicaly a seasonal ladder that brings nothing.

Havoc and aurics existing together doesn’t make any sense.

It just means they should add some gating system. They already said they are gonna change how you unlock difficulty tiers.

Remove denomination first. Another option is to make Havoc work like a battlepass, so for casuals it will be more time efficient to win through the 4 low level Havocs, than to jump on higher ones, spent 1 hour and wipe.

It isn’t, havoc is a completely optional game-mode that’s meant to be very, very hard as an alternative way to play the game, not the end-all-be-all. Auric is just a step-up from normal mission boards for people who wants to experience the regular game at higher level.

The average darktide player is really, really bad at the game. You do not understand how low the skill curve is in this game when the vast majority of people can barely even beat heresy, let alone damnation and havoc. Most of them can barely survive 20s, let alone survive around 30 or climb to 40.

If you at all try to make havoc give exclusive rewards, especially with something rare like aquallias, It will create a sense of obligation that will make people whom have no business being there force their way in, at both the expense of everyone involved.

Anyone whom raids in MMOs knows this very well; Every scrub and noob whom can barely keep their rotation in check with their hilariously undergeared equipment just floods out of the woodworks the moment a raid drops with a mount that’s too cute or cool for its own good. Hell, Anyone whom played a ranked game with that just rewards a shiny skin will garner people whom can barely function with a keyboard and mouse, be on your team to either coast by or just leech on you in hopes of getting that skin.

Except their focus is on Havoc now, new conditions, rewards, etc.

They themselves called it “end game content”

It is pretty crazy how successful this event looks by the numbers, in a mere week it covered up the player average crash post Mortis low to looking sustainable for the month average.

Some big cosmetic batch drops and aquila events behind a more fun event might actually be best thing in between big patches for player sustain while it works… how long the boost last though not sure surprised it’s been a high boost for a week though.

Game was also in a huge sale. Hard to say from the outside how much the event truly contributed, but I’d bet it was significant!

True with Skull events, announcement and in game events there’s a lot of pushes helping those numbers right now.

A slow drip of Aquilas would be nice. I’m still “grinding” for red weapon skins in VT2. The gameplay itself is enough, but it’s fun to occasionally get a meaningless reward.

I wouldn’t simply click-through the end-mission screens if collecting books lead to the chance of getting a few Aquilas.

And just magine how the prospect of mission rewards with a cash equivalent would encourage fellowship and team play! :grimacing:
I shouldn’t be so cynical. Trying to smile: :grimacing:

Nope, sorry.

exactly these packs. and they are not even complete. is recoloring an existing model that much work? no one would think of selling individual weapons for the price of the whole pack…

“Bundling” and “optional feature pricing” are both somewhat manipulative pricing schemes
… but not as bad as many, and we’re all used to them in meatspace, so that should be fine.

Machiavellian sociopaths, or marketing executives, would. This is where, “Charge what the market will bear” comes in.
FS has no competition for DT cosmetics, so throw out competition as something that’ll suppress prices.
The next thing that comes into play would usually be the size of the market: Selling for $5 to 100 people is usually better than selling for $10 to 10 people. But FS seems to think the current prices are ideal. Or just can’t go lower.

Maybe there’s a lowly artist (in China?) giggling about the barrel they have FS over. I mean, as opposed to an even bigger corporation. It’s a nice thought.

If Havoc was only place to earn aquilas in game. Pretty much know people will force themselves into difficulty they’re not comfortable with.

Now if aquilas were equal regardless of difficulty setting you won’t get spill over of players pushing themselves into higher difficulties they’re not comfortable with at detriment of players who are more prepared.

Look at what happened to Helldivers 2. When released it gated certain resources behind Tier 7 missions and it was full of players dying like flies hoping for lucky break or never be able to go full upgrade.

I really hope this stays, I am more than willing to save up 500 aquilas over the course of multiple events to buy a cosmetic set.

Well considering it totally surpassed Mortis release and saved the month, I’d think it be silly not for FS to try another. With the skulls hype and game sale.

“die Affen rasen durch den Wald, der eine macht den andern kalt, die ganze Affenbande brüllt…”

instead of inciting them to chase that one coconut, hand them rewards out for every difficulty.

emprah knows most peeps flashing their latest attire had hadron dry-clean it after being dragged across malice-damnation floors

they already lack the skill, let em at least not lack some proper pants

I think it can even make people spend more on the game.

Let’s be real, 40$ of cosmetics sounds horrible to pay, but a little 3 or 5$ here and there ain’t so bad!

There’s only a few players who would spend 40$, much more prefer to spend small amounts.

So, let’s be real, this should be a common last reward for events, you have more choice that way! You can keep it all and resist the temptation of the current shop for a specific item or drop a lil extra 5$ cuz man that current skin is cool!

40$ packs buyer will buy 40$ pack anyway don’t you worry about that, wales will be wales.
(Trust this coming from one of the big spenders)

This is simply great for the game (with more player count and motivation to play it regularly) and a nice pro-player-choice position.

Speaking of playing regularly, yeah, player will spend more often if they play more often!
The more eyes you got on your shop, the more money goes through it!

You should also make it rotate more often because let’s be real once every 2 weeks is incredibly slow, at the very least once per week sounds more reasonable. Oh and more pages! Or more items per pages too!

Anyway, great thing to see, fatshark, you had that in VT2, what keeps you from doing it again for Darktide when all you see is both sides being happy?
