i play this game a fkton and this is the first time im seeing it. thats how bloated the missions are. i see the same maelstroms all year, and somehow this exists
I’ve actually seen this one multiple times. I was under the impression it’s fairly frequent. Not sure how they rotate the maps. Maybe it was this really unlikely coincidence where the map was up whenever you were offline or doing something else. What I’m still unsure of is if a “dregs only” Maelstrom exists or if my memory is playing tricks on me.

It was even mentioned as “to be avoided” in steam forums discussions on tips about how to get the Auric Storm Survivor title. 
That one is pretty rare along with the other pox gas one but I have seen it. One thing I didn’t know existed was a lights out/specials/monsters. I randomly saw it pop up the other day
along with J I II V its definately on the rarer side.
the few times of it popping up having dudes in the team that would be useless even on malice doesnt help getting the gist of it.
i still dont get the resistance of making every modifier with each map chooseable.
if theoretically there are more attractive combinations, like I II V E G or C I VI, the majority has spoken and at least i know i’m getting matched with dudes that know what they are in for.
some combinations just feel “lesser” and so’s my motivation to go all out in them.
the gassy ones with I II V E G and C I VI i feel that rush that makes darktide great in the first place.

these folk are best adviced to “avoid” anything
legit jus make the more desired maelstroms just cycle on different maps but just have them up is a solid solution. there are what 10 maps on auric. take 5 of them away and have them dedicated to more malestroms. HOUNDS, MUTIES, POXBURSTERS is a braindead excuse of a difficulty modifier and its that 9 times outta 10. come one fatshark, fix this
I made a post about this and majority of people replying didn’t want to remove ANY modifiers because they can’t seem to grasp less modifiers = more fun modifiers
