Any Chance you can Reduce Burning Head/Trueflight Volley's Post-Bounce/Autoaim FF Damage?

As per title, is there any way you can tone down the FF damage on these abilities once the shots have bounced or turned? Ie. once we’re no longer in control of what they’re doing. I’m totally onboard with the initial launch having moderate ff damage but once Jesus takes the wheel it’s pretty cheesy that it still does full ff damage. We have pretty minimal control over the pathing. I’ve watched Burning Heads fly back from over a football field away and ping someone in the face. I’ve watched Trueflight Volleys veer 90+ degrees from their target and feed someone’s mouth.

If I fire these into the back of someone’s head, that’s one thing but if the game decides to take goofy pathing with the shots after I’ve safely aimed them, the damage is a bit much.

I agree so long as the coding doesnt get too messy / time consuming, if it’s a small fix it’d be great particularly on Legend.

A shame no career for Sienna offer up Flaming Sword of Rhuin. :frowning:

Imagine beefing up fellow players nearby with fire damage on melee attacks for X amount of seconds in the style of the Mercenary career ability, and WHC in particular.

Anyway, to make it relevant, yes. I am hit by an ungodly amount of burning heads. :frowning: Not so bad anymore when you play zealot

I’d love that for Battle Wizard, but; wrong thread?

Probably :> It was a bit of a spontaneous thought shared after reading the topic.

Maybe a simple thing would be to have it lose most of the FF damage after hitting an enemy? Similar to AP on cleave, even a weapon with high base AP will lose most of it after the first target.

I would also love for that to be BW’s Ult.

I would prefer to fix the spell instead and they could change the FF dmg back as it was at release. Ppl now dont have to care anymore where they fire even on legend you can shoot through ppl bcs it does inferior dmg. For me it ruins atmosphere and feels cheap.

I was just about to open a topic about that. Both the volley and the head should not do any ff damage after their first hit since it is out of your control.

It takes off a good chunk of health considering how frequently you can use it. Trueflight Volley’s ff damage is extremely sporadic and can one-shot ppl in the right circumstances. Head’s is at least consistent.

I once had a Sienna toss her Burning Head, it go forward, fly up in the air, come back, down me, and kill the grim holding kruber who was B&W. To this day I still don’t’ know what happened or what the hell could have caused that.

I remember those days, back before they nerfed FF damage and Burning Head seemed to have a taste for hero blood…
