Another spam macro cheating

-maybe the fix should be preventing the [murders] from happening in the first place rather than punishing those who [murder].

Jesus Christ, who the hell cares. As someone who was once gaming professionally for a short period of time (Overwatch 2) I know for a fact that gamers or many professional workers (like Photoshop for examples) can get serious wrist injuries, inflamations etc. and these can get really really long to heal.

It’s same as with Spider Sense for people that have hearing issues. It’s great mod and if someone is using it as performance booster - who cares?

Like people, tell me - how your matches change when people are using these mods? You can’t even tell if someone is using these mods or not.

I was using Macros for dodge + slide (side and backwards) for a long time in Darktide casue I am not fast and good enough to do it fluently anymore and press 3-4 buttons at same time. And so what?

Careful boys and girls, EAC will come eat all your candy if you don’t do your chores.
Then it will eat you.

Can you do this normally? Yeah? it’s fine.

There’s absolutely nothing preventing any given mod or macro pack from being split into “can do as a regular human” and “no human can do”, they’re using the latter to piggyback on the former and slip it in.

As psyker, I agree, they shouldn’t be able to spam the peril cancelling macro. I use a macro, but one that basically just clicks the LMB repeatedly so I don’t have to. I have a normal rate of fire with my staves. Not the insane peril cancelling one.

Absolutely, the issue is, that they’re bypassing a limit set forth by the built in throttle for rate of fire. If you could fire this fast without having to hit the quelling button, then there’d be no issue because people could do this. However, you bypass the rate of fire limit (as available by repeatedly pressing LMB) by instead doing what would be otherwise a meticulously timed LMB + R + LMB + R + LMB. Buddy of mine says to make his work that he has a .1 second delay between each command.

I typically don’t play with that guy.

For everyone else yelling about how smite ruins the game by trivializing the encounters…
THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN ACTUALLY TRIVIALIZING THE ENCOUNTER! YOU CAN"T EVEN ATTACK ANYTHING

oh i remember that clip with the psyker. completely ridiculous.

it would be nice if the game had an autofire / keep swinging setting, just so one doesn’t have to click like a madman. i never got pain from this, but the mouse buttons won’t take that long.

If it is impossible otherwise, then yes, you are cheating

Who cares if someone uses it to cheat… players’ hands are more important, macros are fundamental

If you busy bodies spent more time playing the game instead of telling other players how they should play the game, you would probably be happier

It’s just game theory at work!

Nobody argues that the issue is auto-clicks, something you can normally do.
The issue is with added functionality like QQ 1st attack, quell-spam macros, fire at specific interval while sprinting or charge levels etc that humans can’t normally do.

Some people pretend the latter doesn’t exist or that it’s somehow intrinsically linked with the former.

P.S. Macros can’t really be policed, that would require EAC, which nobody wants, including FS.

This doesn’t mean the community can’t discuss them for what they really are, or that people and even FS can ask Nexus to take it down, just like the First Attack QQ mod got pulled, eventually. It’s almost as if pointing out the cheeze/cheats is related to self-policing or something…

Why did that QQ 1st attack mod get pulled anyhow?

Nobody is referring to the auto-fire part.
They’re referring to using mods or parts of the mods to do things you can’t do.

And yet here you are, telling people how to think.

Oh there sure is a difference in the way we think alright, thankfully it’s obvious. wink_emoji
I wouldn’t want to be a member of your club or be mistaken as one.
Double-think is a helluva drug, some are about to OD.

I think most of us have a sense for where the line lies between something that’s “QoL” or “Accessibility” and something that’s obviously exploiting game mechanics to do something that’s outside the spirit of the game.

I agree that the game should be built to prevent the kind of abuse that most people would consider “cheating” (especially given the lack of anticheat), but that’ doesn’t mean that everything we can do with mods fits the game.
