AMD GPU stutter and fps drops

Issue Type (Required):

Performance

Issue Description (Required):

The game just runs so so poorly on AMD GPUs. The last driver to have good performance on this game was 23.11.1… Thats been a year now.

I’ve tried everything to help, it helps somewhat but never entirely solves the issue. I know people report performance has been fixed with later drivers but I have not experienced the same.

I’ve stress tested everything in my system, i’ve validated files, re-installed windows etc. I can’t roll back drivers because then every other game I play has issues.

Please FatShark… Can you liase with AMD its been a year :frowning:

I came in here because of stuttering issues on an AMD system (2700x, vega 56), including extreme audio stuttering (focusrite 6i6, 2nd or 3rd generation).

So far, switching over to the beta has helped a ton. I’m still on AMD driver version 22.11.2. I heard the latest AMD drivers are buggy with this game so I didn’t upgrade. IDK if that’s true!

It really seems like removing the fullscreen mode in the October patch was a problem, though I hadn’t played in a year. The performance hit was awful when I went in a week ago or so. I lowered my settings like crazy and only got marginal improvement.

There are legions of people complaining on Steam about this, including me. A lot of them tie it directly to that update. I’m pretty sure the mode you removed is what I use in other games because it’s known to work better. It should probably get put back in if this other fullscreen mode can’t work as well. Not all of us have high-end computers.

I’ll try and increase my settings again to see how well the beta works later. But I just played a couple rounds and I didn’t notice any audio stuttering. The FPS seemed to be a big improvement but I didn’t measure the before/after.
