Exactly what the title says. Leveling is the worst part about this game and I didn’t have to waste hours of my life leveling a new careers in Vermintide 2. Anyone with at least two max level characters should be able to skip the process on DLC careers.
It’s not gonna happen, and we all know it
This has been suggested to death when Arbites released, then when Scum released, and we’ll see at least 5 more posts when the new class releases
Yet it’s not gonna happen, Fatshark wants people to engage in leveling
Would be cool to have the choice.
I don’t like doing it but it doesn’t really bother me. It takes me around 3 gaming sessions to fully level and gear up a character.
On the other hand, I think it could appeal to a more casual playerbase.
I have a friend who bounced off this game after having beaten all maps on Auric with his first fully levelled class.
He repeatedly told me that he would play more on other classes if he didn’t have to level them up from scratch, which is a completely boring and daunting process to him.
If we had the possibility to skip the levelling, some players could play the game more.
if this helps.
if not, one can get to 30 in a day or two.
You’re probably right but I still think people should ask for what they want and complain about things they don’t like even if nothing will come of it.
Leveling is one of my favorite parts of new classes and takes literally 2 days maximum to hit 30. It also gives people time to try new builds without auto losing games in Auric, which still happens with people under level 50 with new classes.
Hard disagree with OP.
I’d rather they fix the mastery with new weapons. While it was nice to have 2 more weapons with hive scum, that made 2 more weapons to deal with the mastery nonsense. If I have like 8 million diamantine at this point, can I not just directly pay Hadron instead of buying weapons, upgrading them and sacrificing them?
The process of buying and donating weapons to mastery multiple times for each weapon type is definitely the worst, most tedious part of the leveling process. Wholeheartedly agree with the idea of fixing that.
so are you suggesting because you are level 30 has a ogryn you should be allowed to be level 30 on say Hive Scum or Arbiter or any other class why? you have to earn your rank reject.
what other reason have you for having 25mil and a ton of useless weapons you got from the emprah from all them matches you played?
it’s not about not saving these funds. i’d gladly pay the dockets and materials upfront just to skip the clicktide experience: buy greys, consecrate, sacrifice, click mastery boxes. it’s boring as hell.
luckily there’s a mod for this now i might try when the next class comes out:

Yeah… make it a paywall to do it and FS (ok Tencent) will fall all over themselves to implement it.
A new rank 30 class would be nice, but realistically, all their new weapons would be at a 100 power level, making them too weak for Damnation+ difficulties.
They make you level so that you can master the new abilities/weapons with other noobs.
The exp should be quadrupled though.
My issues with levelling as a longtime player:
- Lower difficulties are more boring for me due to less spawns
- I typically play only a couple games at a time, so getting to 30 takes me a while and quality of matches is lower during that time (20-30 matches?) so it feels draining long-term
- The curio luck grind starts at level 30, all the homies hate curio luck grind
- Gear power scaling is annoying, would rather it not exist tbh (I also find it bad game design but that’s another tangent)
What has helped:
- Campaign missions tend to attract noobs who are more fun to play with than a rando level 300 Arbites in Malice/Heresy who solos everything
- Throwing unlimited currency at Hadron (the process still drains my life-force, please improve)
If there was an option to just be level 30 outright I would take it every time (which is not that many times but still
). Similar to campaign, where players can opt in/out. I could care less for meta-progression in this game, just gimme the goods!
Oh… you do not like the excellent proposal of several players?
Exactly the kind of feature that should have stayed at the idea stage.
