2000s equals 33min, which is longer than many missions even take. This could incentivise players to deliberately dawdle at the end of a mission, to extend the necessary timer, as well as punishing fast mission clear times.
The penance “Alchemist” does not count its progress at the end of a mission, the uptime of Chemical Dependency is only counted if it falls off during the mission.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Set up any cartel special in the stimm lab.
Start a mission and stim up whenever it is ready.
Thus, reach and maintain 3 stacks of Chemical Dependency.
Complete the mission while Chemical Dependency is still up.
It tried it with the default Chemical Dependenca (i.e. 3 stacks that last for 90s) and when on my first attempt I forgot to re-stim, it did count some progress for the penance (~400s), then on multiple subsequent attempts successfully kept it at 3 stacks from start until the end of the mission and no progress was ever recorded for those.
Oh really? I didn’t get any progress at all without it, must been a glitch or something then. Anyway it only takes a couple of matches and you get it if you remember to stimm, Brutal bludgeons though is slow as hell to get.
Brutal Bludgeons does NOT make sense to me….. like really? locking the pants away by 1000 heavy kills ONLY when your stim is up!? bro … this will take forever
Well any idea what I’m doing wrong then since mine did not count at all with the default skill or with the different modifiers to it? Does it need a specific combination in the stim lab?
Easy to do with heavy attacks that are swipping attacks into hordes, it’s way less awful that the heavy attack one at max stacks of heavy hitter for Ogryn. Especially with hive scum having faster attack speed than ogryn.
It doesnt count if you’re at max stacks during all the missions and extract while still at max stacks sadly, you need to drop a stack beforehand for it to count.
And I don’t think it’s something that will get fixed as it isn’t excesivelly problematic
Edit-
I just tried and it does in fact not count until you let the 3 stacks drop down to 2 stacks like you said so thank you for the solution.
So what you can do to see the progress is track the penance get 3 stacks, let it drop to 2 and you should see some progress and you could pop it back to 3 and then let it drop to 2 to see further progress. So it does work it just doesn’t tell you it has to drop down to 2 stacks for it to count the seconds it has been 3 stacks.
I should also add that you don’t have to do the 2000 seconds in one mission for anyone wondering.
You can also go for a lower cooldown stimm and the node that brings to 4 stacks but only for 60 seconds, so it become 30 seconds faster to drop a stack at the end if you’re at max stack, it’s not much but it can help, plus it’ll give higher buff for the mission.
