Aimed Assail throw is no longer accurate and has much reduced range, making it impossible to hit far targets. Seems like it’s using the normal throw profile for that? The damage is correct though.
I’d add that it now requires to look almost directly at the enemy during throwing. Previously I could aim, turn around, dodge behind cover or throw in the sky to kinda force landing on head and Assail would track the enemy. When I hold aim I still can hear cue that enemy is “marked” and when I look back to have him visible on screen, the blue glow is still around his head but the projectile doesn’t track him.
I made an account just to see if there was talk about this. Aimed assail now feels clumsy. The increased numbers to damage and speed don’t mean much if the projectile isn’t making its way to the intended target.
Also signed up just to get more support behind this. The aimed Assail feels like utter garbage right now. The patch notes mentioned wanting to buff it up as an option, but this bug completely obliterates half of its use (the primary still functions like expected).
I’d easily take the former state over the buffed damage as the extra damage doesn’t matter when it can’t be aimed worth a damn over any decent distance. It bounces all over the place, can’t hold onto a target after release like it used to, and if it manages to make it to the target, it will usually be a body hit (which sucks especially for Disrupt Destiny builds).
Please fix this because Assail was a very fun tool to use previously, but now I’m really considering switching off of it until it is fixed - I already take a huge tax by not being able to take Psykinetic’s Aura, so taking Assail now feels a bit like a game throwing pick.
