Assail no longer prioritizes the “Psychic Reticle” -highlighted target when performing a charged attack.
Previously the shard, when thrown using a heavy attack, would sail directly to the aimed-at target’s weakspot, ignoring player guidance, then after hitting the enemy it would resume normal flight which could be guided.
Now, there is no direct sailing at the reticle highlighted enemy with “Target Enemy” right click attacks.
I suggest revisiting an older game build to see the difference in functionality, and reapplying the code from there.
Furthermore, assail plays a constant repeating quiet “thunk” sound when it is used to “Target Enemy”.
Also the Reticle seems to charge up, causing a flash which is similar to the one which communicates “Brain Rupture/Burst Ready” when using Brain Rupture. This has no functionality for the shards however, and it seems to be purely leftover from using the same code as Brain Rupture.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Go to game
Launch Psykanium
Use assail heavy attack
Look away from the target (see how the shard is guided even after using Target Enemy).
Go to older game version
Use assail heavy attack
See how it cannot be guided before the connection to the enemy, see how it is guided instead to the enemy that was targeted when casting.
For visual and sound bug: hold the assail target enemy reticle over one enemy, listen closely + watch for the flash.
