Scoreboard need:
Friendly Fire
Damage to Elites
Damage to specials
White health generated
Blocked damage
Enemy pushed over ledge
That’s a horrible idea. Blizzard’s been trying to do that with every game they had, and every time they had to revert the changes. An absence or presence of end game stats will not stop kill-chasing people, well, from chasing for kills. But it will harm dozens of other people, because for reasonable people these stats help evaluate their personal performance, and performance of other players.
Idk about you guys, but no one EVER said anything bad to me about my final score.
it does seem to encourage gameplay counter to the vision they had in mind. it serves no other purpose than to make people feel inadequate that they haven’t got bigger numbers. i usually sit at the flanks of our lines during hordes, sometimes never hitting anything as nothing comes that direction but its important that somebody guard us. i dont get credit for that on the end screen though.
Not only does it not seem to seperate temp and green, but it also seems to not seperate those from red health, meaning usually getting damage on red health completely overshadows any other form as you have much more red than you do normal and can’t do anything to mitigate damage while downed, exception is death due to falling out of the map, which also incurs massive ‘damage taken’.
What if the damaged taken stat was replaced by the healing received, not counting Kerillian passive? This way a group could see who wasted the most meds and taken the most hits.
Or even better - show a draught icon, a medkit icon and a skull, and add a number to each one, which will represent number of items used and number of deaths (not downes).
== wrong post, sorry ==
Your post really captures the biggest flaw with the scoring system right now. Everyone knows someone should watch the flanks but if there’s no action there they tend to try to get kills on the horde coming from the other way. I think stats are important but I wish there was a better way that didn’t encourage such poor coordination.
Excellent point. This makes the stat worthless when this happens.
