Why don’t you guys add the no dodge jump mod to the console as a standard option. It makes such a difference to game play. There is no need to jump sideways!

The fact that there are so many noobs who play default controls who constantly jump all game instead of dodge is actually hilarious. Its not like the game tells you you should play back button dodge but the very first day I played this game when it came to xbox changing my controls is the first thing I did. I cant believe people are playing damnation with a controller and default controls. I think alot of them also havent turned on the setting where you dodge backwards just by pressing dodge which is why so many people go down so fast to ragers and chaos spawns. That setting is equally important as playing with dodge and jump on different buttons. There are too many instances in this game where you need to dodge and if you dont you will die. I dont guess all these noobs have gone into their settings after dying constantly and figured out theirs only one controller scheme worth using.

There’s a few resons for that, I think.
People that now know better, do so because of hindsight.
On PC, it’s fairly common to adjust keybinds but on console not so much.
Then there’s also the bit of “most people don’t care enough to change controls and even if they do, the assumption is that the default controles are what you’d call sane”
A lot of default controles aren’t sane but somehow a lot of people still think that. Hell, even devs think their defaults are.

So can you adjust on console. On of you can rebind jump to different key to dodge or use no dodge jump mod. Not sure if any option for console players

I see just as many damnation players on pc jumping as opposed to dodging as I do console
Players. You would think after taking so many crusher over heads and jumping to get away from poxbursters they would realize something should change. Its really just a problem of people playing this game blind but idk how the hell these people are all the way in damnation and havent put two and two together.
On xbox you can play back button dodge and it makes jump A and dodge B and its what ive played for more than a year now. It is the only control scheme worth playing from the 7 ive seen. There could be one more but its whats most comfortable to me.

I see pc players jumping instead of dodging which is pure insanity considering they have keyboards and full remapping capabilities like what lol ok.
Let’s be real. The main problem is that Fatshark shipped this control layout.

Yeh why you can’t change it is crazy. I mainly play on of so it annoys the hell out of me on console
