I get that wep skins are monetized now but come on man. VT2 has monetized cosmetic equipment too but still has a lot of free choices.
should be noted that the shovel and grenade gauntlet are somehow missing from that list. aka 2 of ogryn’s 12 launch weapons…please get around to completing this too some day.

No, each weapon has 3 skin variations that represent the various marks, and then 2 premium style skins. Unless you’re the combat knife which is the elf of this game and has like 6 premium skins.

Yes. Apply any of the commissary Kantrael lasgun skins to a Mg XII and it will turn it into a Mk Ia with the new colour. Same with any other weapon skin on weapons that have visually distinctive marks like autoguns.
Sometimes I wonder what the creative process at Fatshark is like. Here’s a comparison between a commissary recolor and the latest premium weapon skin that costs a good few aquilas.

We definitely need more skins and more stuff in the commissiary. We should be able to buy plasteel etc there too imo. Or at a trading desk.
I mean at the very least they should let you buy every mark as a skin, even if they don’t color anything.
But they should color stuff. Just like, red and blue versions of every mark, and maybe white or black, grey, teal, yellow, dark green… I feel like my graphic designer buddy could knock this out in like a weekend.
if we want to be ultra optimistic, maybe they’re working on a more complicated weapon customization system that’ll let us paint them like picking colors in Dawn of War or something. ha ha. ha.
Considering they sell recolours already, I highly doubt that sadly 
I love so much about this game but the shop has been by far the biggest disappointment to me.
