Add captains to the normal boss rotation

It’d be a nice bit of variety and a change of pace from the three midgame bosses we already encounter. It’s fun in havoc - we don’t need more than two bosses per mission in regular gameplay, but more than three in the pool would be more varied and fun.

Scab Captains and Dreg Champions should both be added to the normal Monstrosity rotation, absolutely.

It’s such an easy and fun way to spice up gameplay for us while we await new content and such.

Just showing support for an amazing idea

I am thinking they will do so when they can introduce new bosses/Monstrosities

Grim Protocols brought the Scab Captains and Dreg Champions into Havocs, so now I am hoping for the storyline development in the wake of the Dark Communion mission being part of the storytelling, that they would introduce to us Blight Drone/Rot Fly, a Dreg Sorceror, and or Plaguebringer

After they introduce new Monstrosities as such, they can create the special condition for Atoma and Aurics to have Scab Captains & Dreg Champions appear more

Imo that may become the solution

On another note, I am surprised we haven’t seen any Dreg versions of Maulers yet (unless you count the ones that glow green by the infection special condition)

Been brainstorming as we have seen there are units that have been introduced to be the Dreg version of Scab Units, and where they still need to fill in on for such.

Units not seen (yet): Dreg Mauler, Dreg Sniper

are any of the miniboss captians dregs? i was pretty sure all of them were scab commanders from what i’ve been able to see of their uniforms.

wish they had different moveset depending the faction and also these captains should have lines if pinged (there are actually lines for them but its just unused)

and i wish they could spawn in the regular missions as well cause it’s fun to have them as randomized bosses as random encounters

that’s actually very interesting. there’s several elements of the outfit i’d had theories on and some surprises. it also lends a bit more weight to the theory i’d had that the cult had been poaching some weapons from the 6th here and there since they’re the only source of those drum shotguns we know of…

It seems likely that later in the story Wolfer will either be killed or usurped by Admonition, causing the Scabs to fragment. Admonition will be calling the shots now, though most of their ground forces you see aren’t part of an elite military outfit like the 6th, so they won’t be trusted with the big heavy artillery.

That all hinges on where exactly Captain Wolfer sits in the chain of command. The Admonition could potentially replace him with another Moebian 6th Officer in order to prevent or at least mitigate any fracturing.

A Captain shouldn’t be leading an entire Regiment, that’s a Colonel’s job. Colonel Gortun’s not currently on the Inquisition’s radar, however… and we know literally nothing about the Moebian 6th’s Majors.

There’s also a mention of “The Three” who’re assumedly the head honchos of this Admonition Uprising. I figure that we’ll get to hear more about them sometime soon.

next week :smiling_imp:

hopefully a new bossfight, like real real one

like halescourge boss in vt2, or the one in castle drachenfels in the last map
something unique and interactive a bit, because it is something that is missing in DT i feel like :smiling_imp: even rasknitt boss fight was enjoyable because how unique it was and there was somewhat coordination to do things (like taking the corners to make it easier)

with the newest map i legit thought rinda would woke up and we would fought her again but sadly nothing, but i assume it is some preview for something ahead

It would be REALLY funny if Rinda Karnak pulls a Gatekeeper Naglfar and just turns into a Chaos Spawn halfway through her next Fight.

On a related note, have anyone else encountered the “invisible captain attack” bug with the captains?

Some times they will just kill you with no attack animation at all. The captain will walk up to you, you will possibly hear the sound as if his shield is being wailed on, and you will just die. It can even happen when he just walks past you while chasing someone else. So you stand there attacking him as he passes by, facing another player, and suddenly you just drop dead.

I couldn’t find a bug report about it.

My money is on the ritual having successfully elevated her to a nurgle sorcerer. I can’t wait to be proven right.

This SORTA happened to me earlier? I got hit once, backed off and then suddenly died to a mysterious invisible “second attack” from the Scab Captain that didn’t actually happen. It was pretty weird, but I absolutely kicked that Captain’s arse when I got revived.

I thought that the ritual in Dark Communion was actually an attempt to resurrect Rodin Karnak, or an attempt to use him as some kind of vessel for something sinister…

It’s him strung up on that Star of Chaos and not his sister, although it did take me a while to realise that.

I also wouldn’t mind if they brought back the single Twin ambush from their introduction event.
