Please help

Sorry to hear this @Lucky_Goh

Please ensure you have appropriate Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat. You’ll need to add the following exceptions:

  • vermintide2.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries
  • vermintide2_dx12.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12
  • EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS

A Selective Startup can also help identify whether a background application is the cause of the crash:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC

If the error no longer occurs after having performed the Selective Startup, try re-introducing your programs one-by-one to determine which is causing your issue.

Please let me know how this goes.

Thank you for your reply and for the detailed suggestions.
I’ve already added the recommended exceptions for:
vermintide2.exe
vermintide2_dx12.exe
EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe
in my Anti-Virus and Windows Firewall.
I also tried the Selective Startup method (msconfig → Selective Startup → disabled Load startup items), rebooted, and tested the game. Unfortunately, the crash still occurs with the same error (StatisticsDatabase / Lua script related).
Could you please advise on any next steps?

Sorry to hear the crash is persisting.

It’s a shot in the dark, but it could be helpful to try a clean reinstallation of Vermintide 2 which involves deleting your AppDate (please note custom settings e.g. graphics, keybinds etc. will be reset):

Please also ensure that:

  • You have latest Windows updates installed
  • Your GPU drivers are up-to-date

If the issue continues after all of the above, it may also be helpful to check your motherboard’s manufacturer website for any available BIOS updates - as outdated BIOS can often lead to instability. With firmware updates we advise caution and to do so at your own risk.
