the penance itself isn’t the issue, actually, it’s the missions.
i was doing my first mission and it was going great. nobody went down for longer than 8 seconds at most, nobody was incapacitated for even that, and we had even beaten the boss! but then, a few seconds after, it happened. the psyker died and cost me the penance. why did the psyker die? well, my best guess is that, while they didn’t go down, they still got blown off the edge of the stage by a pox burster or a barrel. but that makes no sense since they should have just grabbed the ledge or the railing, right? WELL THAT ISN’T WHAT THE GAME DECIDED!
thanks to the game being janky and weird, that progress is gone.
please make it so that completing the final objective of the mission allows you to keep progress on “keep your friends close” just for the assassination missions. the others are more understandable if you lose progress since they have you manually extract.
