For a while now I’ve wanted an option to be able to turn off JUST the vox chatting during the missions and in the Mourningstar. Not the banter between the player characters, just when Melk and lady Alice etc are squabbling.
I’d really appreciate a slider for the volume or just an option to turn it off completely. Would you add this in a near future update please.
Don’t get me wrong, the dialogue quality is truly top notch, it’s just the variety is lacking badly, and by now it’s now become almost an annoyance at how repetitive it is.
Yup, thats my main reason too. Try running the same mission 1000 times the vox chatter gets very, very annoying.
Fatshark, you’re the ones that made the penances to do the same missions over and over. You designed the NPC lines this way (with no variability), so you gotta add a voice volume slider (NPC, not player).
If Zipit mod was working, I would be happy…
But it doesn’t (retested again and got the infinite loading bug on the second mission I launched).
I personally would love to be able to mute all lore voice lines. I like voices lines situational, but the lore lines… this is beginning to be painful to listen them again and again.
@FatsharkStrawHat hey I was wondering, would it be possible to find out why this hasn’t been done yet? We’ve never had any kind of response regarding this feature, at all.
I’ve been asking since beta, over two years ago. Its not like I’m asking for much here, and it would dramaticly improve my enjoyment of the game.
Just a simple slider in the menu to adjust the volume of NPC voice messages. Can we at least get some kind of answer regarding it?
Heck, I’d love it if it was within the budget to bring back a bunch of the voice actors and add a bunch of dialogue, and somehow have it activate for players who’ve been playing a certain amount of hours, so that the old dialogue can be enjoyed by people haven’t heard the same lines about a hundred times or more…
Variety’s the spice of life after all, and such variety will only compliment an already wicked game like this
I haven’t touched mods yet. but to be honest I can’t be arsed to faff about with mods like I did with Mechwarrior 5
And a lot of them only stop working after an update, so it would be up to the creator to update the mod.
The mod community for a vast amount of games nowadays are truly awesome, but they’re individuals, not a team, so can’t be expected to keep on top of refreshing mods all the time…
Anyway, a simple slider or option to turn vox chatter off completely would be highly welcomed indeed.
What mods have you used so far on Darktide? Any game changing ones which are exceptional over vanilla?
Precisions: Healthbars are just for creature spawner.
Are a game changer for me: DefaultSprint, crosshair_hud, HUDTweaker, NumericUI, weapon_fov, PanicStimm
Everything under Bug Fix is just things that should be in game… to be honest collectible finder should also for the icon on the side (this is discrete picture that can complete the sound of heretic idols / martyr skull / books).
I have cleaned a lot this list. Removed a lot of things that were useless, at least in my opinion.
I can see the subtle change with the slide, there’s like a slight head wobble and tilt effect.
You’d think panic stims would be standard seeing as it can be a difference of getting knocked down or continuing the Emperor’s fight
Cheers a bunch for all those links.
Did an error here… this is an other mode that permits that.
this one permit to fade away an ogryn that could block your line of sight.
I don’t use it cause it breaks immersion (ok, having the possibility to go through teammates is not immersive, but seeing them fading away is even worse).
Precisely! The default option would allow everyone to continue to enjoy the “”“funny banter”“”, while those of us who have a low tolerance for stupidity can flip a switch and turn it off.
