A question to whoever is responsible for sanctioning mods in Fatshark (if there is still anyone)

Am I right in understanding that mod sanctioning was stopped back in 2022 and there is no chance that if I try to make a new mod now, it will ever be sanctioned?

I got worried about that not only because there are many good mods that do not receive the status of sanctioned for some unknown reason (like bots in the keep and some cosmetic mods. In fact, as far as I have seen, only a few QOL mods have received the sanctioned status over the entire time), but also because the other day I got the idea to make my own mod.

The mod I had in mind is very simple. After playing End Times Vermintide, I thought it would be nice to have some voice lines in the second part of the game that are missing in it. There are a lot of good lines in the first game that flesh out the characters, and let’s be honest most players will never play the first game and never hear these lines ever. I think it’s a shame to waste lines like that, so I wanted to bring them into the second game as a mod. Even if it’s just 5 lines per character, they would add more variety, including for us, people who have been playing Vermintide 2 for a thousand hours.

(I know what you’re may be thinking, these are just dreams. But I have experience creating mods for other games, so I could very well implement the idea I had in mind if I don’t run into any restrictions)

So with my post i would like to know two things at once. First, can we hope that new mods will ever be sanctioned? And second, can a mod like mine be sanctioned?

Small things like these would add quite alot to the game, i love this idea.

I’m not quite sure why they decided to stop sanctioning, heard someone say it’s because they wanted to implement things themselves however when they’ll actually do it is very much unknown.

Yeah, I am a modder too but I’ve never started modding V2 because I don’t want to unnecessarily make mods that I can’t use then.
Mods greatly extend the playability and fun of any game. It’s sad that we can use so few of them in V2.

If someone from Fatshark gets in touch and confirms that mod sanctioning is still ongoing and that the mod I voiced above could be sanctioned, then I personally can take up the creation of a mod that would transfer some of the character lines from the first game to the second. In the first game there are many dialogues that better reveal the world and characters and would add a lot to the second game

I ask every interested player passing by this post to post to this thread so Fatshark could possibly react

A really cool idea for a mod! Bringing in those voice lines from the first game could definitely enhance the experience for players who are familiar with the characters.
