the zealot really needs a rapier or the dueling sword so we can take advantage of their melee talents. I want to skewer heretics in the grimdark future.
the main hope for the itemization update for me is that equip restrictions that are just boring and pointless go away. like the human careers and their banal melees. why can the zealot not use a shovel, why is my veteran guardsmen unable to use a saber. why does the freak not get the heavy sword when it was in their promotional trailer.
shotguns for freak is already confirmed, but I want the above. maybe even Lucius Lasgun on Zealot, that would be ludicrous.
More Vermintide weapons in general would be nice!
For Zealot, Iād also like to see Saltzpyreās Axe and Falchion dual wield! HOWEVER, if Zealot ends up getting Shield weapons like Ogryn has⦠Iām voting for Flail and Shield all of the way.
hmmm⦠i like flails.
absolutely impractical but stylish as hell, guess more people would self mutilate with a flail than nunchucks and butterfly knife combined
then again the zealot mortifies his flesh as a passtime⦠the flail giveth and the flail taketh
rapier though i doubt would have enough durability for zealous worship
rather on a psyker.
I want to equip the small little Combat knife as Ogryn and be crazy
Am opposed to Vermintide weapons because I beleive they are the excuse used to nerf w40k weapons into sad shadows of what they should be, as has been done to literally all of them.
āHave to keep the vermintide experience! Give me 50 axes and make the chainsword suck.ā
Thatās delusional
To be honest, Iād be even happier if they used Vermintide weapons as TEMPLATES for something more ā40Kā if you understand my meaning.
Iāll provide an example⦠the aforementioned Axe and Falchion dual wield could be the Tactical Axe and Heavy Sword dual wield!
Chain/Force/Power weapons are universally bad in general because of their current designs, not because of Vermintide.
Iāll provide another example⦠they need to nerf the base damage of Chain/Force/Power weaponsā activated attacks but in return the weapons are ALWAYS activated.
An opposite example would be the second Evicerator. Which many people consider to be the Exe Sword in Chain variant.
And thatās how legacy pattern should appear. Serving as base to make a variant of a 40k weapon.
if they give zealot rapier or something similar to psyker Maccabian, I would love to play more zealot.
Having to activate the chain/force/power weapons and it only being active for the span of one heavy or a couple light attacks (if that since on-contact they do the thing, typically) does suck.
Once we activate them, they should not turn off unless gummed up with Traitorous entrails or we manually de-activate them.
That possibility might closer than you think.
Iāve been inside the room for some of these kind of meetings. Not many, and not on anything that would matter here, but this is how people doing some jobs literally think.
For example I can assure you absolutely that in 2013 Statefarm insurance was concerned at the executive level that they were viewed as old fashioned and not āhipā like Geico.
I am in strong support of melee genericization.
Ah yes, eviscerator on ogryn sounds dope.
Obviously the Ogryn would be swinging a Zealot wielding an Eviscerator, donāt be silly.
ogryns with eviscerators are like a farmer who wants his chainsaw refunded because it doesnāt cut.
vendor: so whatās wrong with the chainsaw? and turns it on.
farmer: huh? whatās that noise?
MK4 would be OP AF, on zealot, I donāt see it happening unless itās a very different rapier.
I got converted to Mk2 after they put the same stab damage as Mk4 on it. I like those fast 3 openers and the crowd heavy.
Makes me doubly sad they went back and buffed this mostly good weapon while the Mk5 literally languishes in a pointless state compared to these 2.
