Wishing to appeal a ban!

Greetings,

I wish to appeal a ban for the game, because I got drunk one night and ended up flaming people and insulting them with a lot of threats. I was unfortunately under the effects of alcohol.

I would like if it’s possible to appeal my ban. I have since then stopped drinking while playing games as a way to control and keep myself clean. I would love a second chance as I’ve spent a lot of hours playing this game and it’s been helping me cope with real life issues I’ve been having.

Please show mercy for an incident that will never occur again, you have my word!

It is most likely not a permanent ban (I have only heard about people getting banned for 2-3 days so far), so you might just have to wait it out.

If you haven’t already, try submitting a support ticket:
https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/requests/new

However, due to the severity of your ban reason (death threats), it wouldn’t surprise me if it was a permanent ban. In any case, a support ticket would be the correct way to go about appealing it.

I accept the consequences in the end, ontop of that,I have begun going to an alcoholic’s recovery therapy, because alcohol has destroyed my life too much and relations with people.

I again apologize to the admins and everyone for my behavior.

I still think Fatshark should take a page out of Valve’s book and ban within the domain where the TOS breach occured specifically.

Hostile communication = Communications ban only (you can still ping / chat wheel)
Trading / Scamming = Trade banned
Actual cheating / griefing = Game ban

All escalating: Warning → 24 hours → 7 days → 1 month → 1 year → permanent
Exception for cheating and scamming, which is always is a permanent ban immediately.

Not having access to the full game because you trashtalked a little is harsh and invites spite. By being punitive within the specific field of hostile action is fair and it specifically tells you more decisively what not to do.

BM is also just a natural thing that happens in games and part of the experience. Whether it’s playful teasing insults or actual toxicity, ultimately you should try not to let it impact you too much.

That said, games are better when people aren’t toxic. Good on ya OP for taking the high road, now stay on it.
