Why so many achievements?

Why do I need to get so many for the Mobian armor? I feel like I have to go out of my way to get some of these achievements on a class I don’t much enjoy and still end up really far away from getting my desired armor.
is this it?
the only Line of unlocks we’ll get?
Is there another line with even more achievements to get?
what’s the plan here?

I have the armour and don’t use it because it’s ugly as hell. You’re not missing much.

We’ve gotten new penances since the Hestia penance system launched in April, and I expect we’ll continue to get more.

We don’t know if, or how, the track might change, but I’d imagine they’d just add more stuff onto the end as that’s the most straightforward solution. Still, no official word on that yet I don’t believe.

By my experience after I was able to gain many of the penances, there were still leftover penances, so there is so many ways to accomplish achievements in gameplay to get to the current final penance rewards. I was so happy when I achieved Master Of War for Ogryn, Psyker, Veteran and Zealot. There are also so many achievements that work for any class in Missions, Heretical and so forth. Best way to do this is if you figure out the way (or find guides online that help with the issues of attaining them) you will be surprised how you can attain them quickly or eventually. For me the toughest one to get Master Of War on was the Veteran until I figured out I was needing to use different builds to get the goals met.

The good news is you don’t need every penance for the last of the Moebian cosmetics. Which I appreciate. You do need a ton of them because the devs want you to have a carrot to chase.

The funniest thing is that it’s still better than 95% of the cosmetic shop items

Yeah when the penances released and people saw the so called “Moebian” armour (with an imperial faith badge on it, and the number six, so you know its Moebian, honest!), people weren’t happy.

But this is Fatshark we’re talking about here, so it was released, and then promptly left behind as they moved onto the next problem with the game. They do this all the time, half fix things, then have to come back for second or third passes. Wildly inefficient, but again, thats the way they do.

As for the actual flow of the unlocks and the rewards… eh? Idk? Whats the correct amount of grinding for a free cosmetic? I have the “Moebian” armour, and I do use it, purely because despite Fatsharks best efforts, I still like the concept of the Moebian 6th.

I hope we get more achievements and unlocks eventually, though since Fatshark only ever do one thing at a time, and do that slowly, it won’t be for another year or two.

Oh and you get the Nox skin in the achievments (which is technically Moebian), for chainswords and some other random weapon, but you won’t get it for the Lasgun, or Autoguns, or anything else. So cool! Will we ever get the skin for other weapons? Don’t know! This is Fatshark! Woo!

I have like 1000+ hours play time and I’m not even close to getting the armor, so yeah it doesn’t seem like something you would get by playing naturally.

It’s the highest tier award, and it definitely requires playing all of the classes, which I’m pretty confident most players don’t do. But even if you did all of the class penances, trying out basically all of the blitzes/auras/keystones, you’d still be less than halfway to the 4500 armor.

It takes a lot of playing, and you absolutely have to be deliberate about how you play (trying all the builds, getting martyr skulls, winning auric missions you haven’t beaten yet, etc.)…but that’s the whole point: to squeeze every bit of juice out of the game and end up with a little reward at the end.

It ain’t for everybody.

Someone did the math, I think you can achieve it without touching Auric if you get all the ‘do x number of missions here’ achievements and pretty much everything else.

After the SOTMG update, there are around 5000 possible points, and with each of the 18 missions granting 20 points for T4/T5 auric completion, that sounds possible.

And, as penances keep getting added, it’ll become easier and easier for players to reach the 4500 armor without having to engage with penances they may not be interested in pursuing.

But I’m hopeful the track will also be extended and higher tier rewards will continue to be added for the sweatiest among us.

EDIT: Ah hell yea, future track rewards confirmed previously!

I have 2500 hours and same. But I don’t even try to complete penances, this could explain a lot

I will also say, the penances did make me branch out and try new builds. Honed a bunch of different vet options working on Master of War, trying for Psyker next.

this is how I felt. its unique that its actually a bright… even hopeful looking armor.

Yeah, I really had to go out of my way to get it. I made some seriously terrible class builds that were purely designed to try and tick as many boxes as possible.
